There’s not a step worth taking

A breath worth holding

A neck worth breaking

If no one’s waiting

So why should you hold on?

Branded with a lie

Bound to lose and loosely bound

Take it with you when you die

Left alone and unknown

Old bones colder than stone

They only see what they want to

Trust that it’s not you

So why should you hold on?

Your shadow is your fist

Blinding beating start on your heart

Your weakness is a catalyst

Suspended, upended

All the light expended

There’s nothing left to spread but

Darkness in the red

So why should you hold on?

Only alive when you fall

Dead when you rise, lies in your eyes

It’s worse, I recall

To live just to die, and lie

Try, cry, retry, die, never go to the sky

There’s a whole lot more to give

If you die just to live

There’s not a step worth taking

A breath worth holding
