“Are you hungry?”
“Famished,” I reply, nodding at Enzo.
“Good.” He leads us all to a street where there’s a high-rise building. Thirty floors up on the elevator, we arrive at a nice restaurant.
“Whoa.” I look around. But there is no part of me that wants to record it for my audience.
This here, this is just for me and my family. Moments that I will only keep for ourselves.
We are seated at an outdoor table. Mira and Alonzo busy themselves by having a fake sword fight with the chopsticks, and Enzo pulls me out of my seat.
“You have to look at the view. That is what all the money is for.”
My breath hitches at what he means. We’re so high up that we have a great view of the Tokyo skyline. I can see Tokyo Tower in the distance.
“This is gorgeous.”
Enzo nods, looking at me rather than the view. “I agree completely.”
My gaze meets his, and heat rushes to my cheeks. Even after five years together, he makes me feel just as giddy as he did when we met.
“Thank you for arranging such a perfect trip.”
“You better get used to it.” He grins. “I am going to take you everywhere.”
“Oh my.” I laugh. “My lifestyle channel is about to blow up, isn’t it?”
He passes me a look. “I thought you went by Mrs. Marchetti now, not Influencer Quinn?”
“I’m just kidding.” I giggle and bring my head over to his shoulder to rest on it. “Enzo? Sometimes, I still feel like my life is one big, incredible, never-ending dream.”
“How lucky we’re having the same dream, then.” He laughs, squeezing the side of my waist.
“I’m serious.”
In the background, our kids laugh as they continue to play, the view is breathtaking, I am next to my favorite person in the whole world.
It’s a moment of pure bliss.
“Enzo,” I murmur so softy that only he can hear. “I think I might just be the luckiest girl in the whole world.”
The End.
