She still came to Common Grounds every day and she’d started harassing me for free drinks again, but I just smiled and gave her free ones, because I’d signed her up for the Coffee Club membership.

“Come on, my bestselling author girlfriend. It’s time to turn your brain off for a little while,” I said, pushing her through the door and down the hall to her bedroom.

Tenley pushed me toward the bed, kissing me and pulling at my clothes as we went.

“I want to turn my brain off by fucking you first until you scream my name,” she said, shoving me so I fell back onto the mattress.

“I love it when you’re all toppy,” I said. Over the months, Tenley had settled on bisexual for her label, with the option of changing it at any time. It didn’t matter to me. I just wanted to be with her and love her and build a life together.
