Story: A Soul to Protect

Before she could finish, the arm behind her darted up so he could cover her mouth from behind. In the dark, she once more felt him sign, “Always.”

Her features softened at that, and she reached up to cup the corners of his jaw. She brought his head lower so she could press her lips against the smooth length of his jawbone.

“I want you to know that I don’t desire you because you’re not a human man, but because I find you... beautiful.” She kissed where she thought the side of his nose hole was. “I like your skull, Nathair. I’m used to seeing bones in my line of work, and snakes often have deep symbolism that holds a lot of meaning.”

Now that she’d uttered that, she realised that may be why she’d found him so comforting from the beginning. Serpents, in many lores, represented rebirth, transformation, immortality, and healing. They shed their skin, in the same way Linh wished she could shed the past and transform, bigger, better, and brighter than before.

Nathair nuzzled into her kisses as she softly lathered him in them.

She brushed her hands down the sides of his neck, her lips following on one side, until her fingertips grazed the hard pebbles of his flesh. His muscled chest dipped beneath the press of her finger pads, showing he was soft underneath despite how dense his skin was.

“I like your scales,” she continued, whispering her lips over his throat. His entire body lightly writhed when she kissed his gills. “I like these. I like how sensitive they are.”

He clutched the back of her head, and she was unsure if it was to press her harder or to draw her away. A high-pitched moan came from him when she licked across them, and Linh beamed.

She cupped both of his pectoral muscles, and her thumbs managed to flick across his small nipples at the same time.

“You feel so soft, and yet so strong. You feel masculine. I like watching your body flex, and when your scales reflect any light.”

Linh wiggled herself lower so she could plant kisses on his chest, following a rib bone from the outside to the centre. She even licked up his half-sunken sternum.

His abdomen muscles twisted and contorted when she grazed her fingers lower before pushing the hand she wasn’t lying on to the side.

“I even like your fins,” she complimented, caressing the frill of them starting just above his hips. “They’re soft and malleable. And I like the way you smell; it’s so gentle.”

Nathair’s orbs had long ago turned purple, but they flickered with black when she began a path inward. Against her pelvis, she thought she could feel intense twitching from him. He quickly grabbed her hand and began to unfurl his tail. Tension clamped her muscles, and she gripped his sides.

“N-no. I don’t want to change how we’re lying,” she whispered against his chest. “I want to stay like this.”

A slip of light broke through a small gap between his tail coils, and it made the scales on his shoulder glitter. With her hands high on his abdomen, she kissed at his chest as she lowered her palms down his rippling muscles. She dipped one between her stomach and his torso, and Nathair clamped up.

His arms shot down, and she squeaked when he grabbed the bottoms of her arse cheeks to shove her hips against his own. The press was hard, and she knew exactly what he was doing with it. If he thought Linh was intending to touch herself, then he was wrong.

Linh unravelled that thought for him when her fingers grazed his seam. When she noticed he shot his skull down to her fully, she lifted her gaze to him. She caressed it repeatedly as she ducked her hips back, biting her lip at his purple orbs.

He grunted just as his cocks came forward, and by the spiral surrounding them, she knew they were encased by his tentacles.

“I like here too,” she whispered, thankful she didn’t feel any worry or aversion. “I like that you’re purple, that you have two dicks, that you have these tentacles.”

Nathair let out a growling purr, and it only deepened when those four limbs released so his cocks could extend to their full lengths. She petted the dual heads, but struggled to do so at the same time with the way their centres pushed them apart.

I want to feel him against me.She doubted her dress felt nice brushing over them.

She would have questioned why she was suddenly okay with all this, but Linh thought it might be because of what he told her. She’d been really lost before, wondering what he wanted with her, what his reasons for everything were. Now that she knew... yes, they were scary – the depth of what he wanted was too intense and more everlasting than she could wrap her head around.

But it revealed he wanted more.

That he didn’t want to just use her because she was available and had just been playing the long game to get into her pants. She’d needed someone to not only desire her body, buther. There was more to Linh than her exterior, and she doubted he would make the decision to bond with someone solely based on whatever beauty he saw in them.

She didn’t see Nathair being vain like that.

It meant he cared enough to not damage her heart. Could she give it to him? Linh wasn’t sure. Her heart currently felt small and caged, and she didn’t know how he was supposed to fit into her life.

She wanted to go back to her people. She wanted to be with them, live among them, and do the work she’d been training to do. How could Nathair fit into that when he was so different?

She didn’t know if her parents would accept him, let alone the rest of the village.

But she’d lingered on these thoughts uselessly for days, and right now she just wanted to focus on him, on this. On how his cuddle always made her feel cherished, and finally bebrave.
