He nods, waiting for me to continue but when I don't he leans forward. “Like, with tongue?”

Glaring, I kick him in the shin.

“Ouch! See what I gotta put up with, Ramy?”

Ramy, who's laughing eyes bounce between us, scooches closer and pats the knee I didn’t know was bouncing. “Golden, you don’t have to use this list. But also, have you thought about what you want when it comes to sex?”

“To be out of this conversation?”

Ramy’s understanding smile makes me squirm until I drop my shoulders. “I just… Lucero is big right, so wouldn’t he top?”

“Just cause you’re a shortass doesn’t mean you can’t top the big vampire, mate.” Kai informs me with a grin.

“We can’t answer that question for you, Golden,” Ramy tells me gently. “But sex is more than who tops and bottoms.”

“But…” I scratch my forehead, hoping to hide my blush. “Hewouldtop, right…?”

Kai leans in close, a dirty grin slapped across his face. “I knew you were a hungry little bottom.”

Kicking him, I laugh. “Oh, piss off.”

He kicks me back, snorting.

Ramy gives me an understanding look. “Speak with Lucero. I bet you’d enjoy this conversation more with him, than us, anyway.”

“Probably,” I admit slowly.

“But,” Kai grabs my hand. “Just remember if you ever wanna bail, I’ve already stolen Lucero’s keys.” And Kai dangles a pair of shiny keys in front of my face, grinning.

When I start to itch for Lucero, like a smoker needing nicotine, I leave Kai and Ramy, and set off to find my vampire. But once I’m out of Ramy's room Lucero’s already there and strolling toward me, his sharp gaze fixed and in a single sweep, he’s categorised my every detail.

It’s ridiculous how perfectly he pulls off a pair of black tailored trousers and a simple white shirt. Three buttons undone at the neck, showing just enough dark chest hair to make my mouth go dry.

“Did you make your plans with Rurik?” I ask, speeding up. But Lucero’s faster, and he’s in front of me in a matter of seconds.

“We did.” He takes me in his arms, securing me against the unyielding safety of his solid chest. I melt into him as that incessant need stirs within me—coaxed from some secret place only Lucero has access to.
