My cheeks heat a little when I remember I filmed one of my short episodes and some promo content in the library last week without asking. I made sure there was nothing identifying in the shot but some of my regular subscribers were curious about where I was working. I also keep forgetting that he watches at all, let alone that he watches regularly.
“I should have asked, I’m sorry. If you saw though, you know I was careful about where I filmed. I just got behind and had to finish it. I won’t do it again.”
“You’re good, Spitfire. But you’ll need to pick at least two pieces of bonus content as repayment for facility rental.” He smirks.
I glance down at the dots and dashes frowning at the fact I created extra work for myself.
“Don’t worry. There’s a few on there I think you’re going to love.”

“We’re goingto have to talk about your cunning little future wife, St. George.”
“Oh yeah?” He looks up at me as he opens up the takeout boxes he brought over.
“Whatever he says, it isn’t true. Don’t listen to him.” Joss kisses his cheek and then flashes an amused grin in my direction.
“What did she do now?” Colt looks between us.
She lets out a pretend incredulous gasp and slides a plate and fork in front of me.
“I have reason to believe she’s meddling in my personal affairs.”
“I have no idea what he’s talking about.”
“What affairs would those be? I didn’t think you had many at the current moment.”
“Just one, really. But it’s enough.”
“Relatable.” He flashes a look at Joss before he looks back at me again. “So?”
“I’m still trying to figure that particular affair out, and a certain raven-haired matchmaker is trying to marry her off to a white knight before I can even have a chance with her.”
“Is this true?”
“From what I can tell he’s been sitting around doing nothing while she’s played house and taken care of him. I just thought she could use some post-work sex to help her relax after all the grueling Cinderella-era stuff she’s got going on around here.”
“Is this why you were asking about Danvers?” Colt raises an eyebrow at her.
“Maybe.” A mischievous little grin spreads on Joss’s face before she takes a bite of her spring roll.
“Danvers? Are you fucking serious?” I grouch at her.
“What’s wrong with him? He’s hot with all those tattoos.” Joss frowns at me.
“The guy’s a good football player but he’s dense as fuck. He probably couldn’t even tell you when WWII happened. That’s the guy you want to set up Scarlett with?”
“Listen, Harper’s trying to find her the smart one who will set all her nerdy girl bits on fire and white knight her. I’m just trying to get her railed by something tattooed and muscular in the meantime. She deserves it putting up with your grumpy ass these last few weeks.”
“If she needs to get railed, she doesn’t need Danvers.”
“Jesus. You better not be railing anyone and refracturing your fucking hip. Have you seen the games? I need you back on the field if we even have a chance at the playoffs.”
“I’m being careful. It’s modified and physical therapist approved. And you’ll get into the playoffs with or without me.”
“So you are fucking her finally? Good. It’s working then.” Joss grins.
