Callie shoved her. “I’m trying to tell you how I feel without you getting all weird on m…” but she couldn’t continue because Talia had stopped her mouth with her own.
Now it was Callie’s turn to be shocked. Her eyes opened wide, but Talia’s remained firmly shut. The time for talking was over.
Talia’s tongue searched deeply. Not a visitor or a friend, or even someone who lived there. Someone who owned the house. Callie was hers.
She gripped Talia’s shoulders, pulling her overtop of her. Talia grabbed her wrists and pushed them above her head against the headboard. Callie grimaced with pain. Talia broke the kiss.
“What am I going to do with you?” Talia’s lopsided smile approached a wicked smirk. She leaned over to the night table drawer and pulled out a pair of expensive-looking fur lined cuffs. “This should keep you from hurting yourself.”
Callie knew better than to struggle. Bratting wasn’t really her thing anyway. Talia cuffed each wrist low and to the side. Callie felt a twinge of disappointment. It felt a little too comfortable, like not being bound at all.
Talia returned to straddle Callie. She drew the backs of her fingers across her arms. The taut muscle of her traps. The slender line of her neck. Callie shivered. Nice, but not hot .
Talia traced the same line again, this time, with her mouth.
Kisses trailed her arm. As she got to her shoulder, Talia’s small breasts skimmed against her forearm.
Callie reached to caress, but the cuffs restrained her.
Talia smiled against her skin. Her tongue found Callie’s pulse point and Talia bit down, Callie squealed and moved to wrap her arms around her, but only heard the clink of a chain straining against the bedpost. Now she understood the rules of the game.
Sesi returned to find Talia marking Callie’s throat. “What the fuck is going on here?”
Talia turned and grinned. “She wouldn’t stop using her arms, so I had to restrain her.”
Callie thought Sesi was going to go off on Talia for cuffing her to the bedposts but instead she lifted her shirt over her head.
“That was very thoughtful.” Sesi scrambled onto the bed and Talia moved over. The two shared a kiss that communicated just how much they had missed each other. Callie rattled her chains.
“If you can’t behave, we’ll go somewhere else,” Sesi threatened.
Watching them from here was torture. The only thing worse would be for it to stop. Callie relaxed her arms.
“Good girl,” Talia spoke into Sesi’s mouth. “Good girls get rewarded.” She turned to kiss Callie. Callie whimpered.
Talia broke away and snaked her body just out of reach. Callie salivated, remembering Talia’s nipple against her tongue only minutes ago. It wasn’t fair, but she would behave.
Sesi, on the other hand, tugged Callie’s head back and forced her to suck.
Which she did, gratefully. Talia had slipped behind Sesi and threaded her fingers between her thighs.
Her other hand caressed Callie’s cheek. Talia stared adoringly at her lovers.
Her knives would always be needed, but this was her purpose now.
“So, do we live here now?” Callie asked, Sesi curled up on one side and Talia propped up on her elbow on the other.
“If you want. We should probably talk about that.” Sesi drew lazy circles on her chest.
“We’re above the club.” Talia kissed Callie’s shoulder. “It’s probably the safest spot for now, but not really big enough, if, you know?”
“A baby?” Callie guessed.
Sesi nodded. “We have time to plan those details. If we even decide that’s what we want to do.”
Callie’s forehead scrunched up. “What do you mean?”
“Getting the encryption codes from Model 21 is no longer an emergency and won’t require sneaking around. For all intents and purposes, we control NovAITech. If we’d known their security was so understaffed, we would have taken it years ago.”
“It also means most other companies are probably in the same boat.” Talia added. “If that news gets out, you can expect other gangs to also take advantage.”
“I’d like to train some doctors first.” Sesi craned her neck. “We have a bunch of candidates who are mostly there, they just need practice with tools that aren’t AI assisted. We’re meeting with one tomorrow.”
“All of us?” Callie looked at Talia.
Sesi nodded. “I need you to understand that this means we’ll need to move outside the city in the next few years.” Sesi locked eyes. “Once this becomes known and other companies start to fall, it’s going to collapse. And quickly.”
“So, for now, we lay low.” Talia said. “I assume Siku cut the weird jute project?”
Sesi nodded. “As far as we can tell, nothing else has been modified. This summer, when we have sight of the geostationary satellites, we should be able to kill whatever is left.”
“Up until two weeks ago, I didn’t know anyone even lived outside of the city.” Callie was finally able to bite her nails. Talia pulled them away from her mouth. Callie frowned.
“I can’t promise you it will be comfortable, but I at least know what I’m doing.”
“I don’t,” Talia added quickly.
“God,” Callie laughed. “This feels like the worst lesbian U-Haul joke ever.”
