Chapter 24
Lucky
I ’d always wondered why my parents had named me Lucky. I certainly had never felt all that lucky, especially in the first half of my life, before Huno and Vega adopted me. But in this moment, the one where I had both of my men inside me, fucking me so hard I kept forgetting to breathe, until I was pretty damn close to blacking out from the intensity of my orgasm, I got it. My body was so full of them, my mind triggered by that little trick Vaelu had, the one that released more endorphins into my system and made every inch of my skin tingle with awareness of them. Or perhaps it wasn’t a trick at all. After all, I felt like that every time they touched me. The orgasms felt continuous, flowing one into the next, full of the love Vaelu had locked up in his heart for so long and the familiarity of Relzo’s touch. My best friend and the enigmatic man who stood by his side.
As I had that thought Vaelu gently set me on the bed, pressing a loving kiss to my lips. “He needs me.”
I smiled lazily, feeling completely fulfilled, and I cupped his jaw, holding eye contact. “It’s okay to need him.” Because that was all the telepath really wanted to do, to have someone to love who would love him back. To dig into people’s minds without any expectations and find warm, happy thoughts there — welcoming thoughts of love and acceptance and friendship. He just wanted people who weren’t there to use his gift to suit their own needs. As I had that thought he shuddered, smiling a little, and took a shaky breath.
“I need him,” he said, flashing me a brilliant smile. “And you, too, Lucky. Since that first time you stepped into my apartment and chewed me out. You treated me like a person, not an object to be revered or a commodity to be used up.”
I laughed, pulling him into another kiss. “Go fuck our man. I love to watch the two of you together. Especially after you’ve completely rocked my world.” Renzo stole a kiss, too, before moving beside me, resting his head on two of his forearms, his ass in the air. He held eye contact with me as Vaelu entered him, and I grinned, watching as the pleasure of having our boyfriend inside him made his eyes roll back in his head. I reached under him and idly stroked his cock, amplifying the pleasure for him as he reached out with one arm and hooked it around my waist. The other arm was around Vaelu’s back, his fingers digging into the other man’s ass, coaxing him deeper.
So yeah, I was lucky. Probably not what my birth parents had envisioned when they’d named me, but what can you do? It wasn’t like my birth parents could have envisioned the shuttle tragedy that changed the course of my destiny. I watched as Vaelu lost himself inside Relzo, throwing his head back with a roar as he came, his pleasure washing over us both like a physical sensation. Relzo followed him over the edge, coating my fingers with his cum, grunting softly as his eyes got that glazed over, post-orgasmic look about them.
As we collapsed in a heap together, whispering words of love, I knew we’d figure this thing out. And I also knew this cabin was going to be our place. I definitely needed to do some work to improve the Net access out here, but for now I had downloaded the file I needed to crunch numbers, and I worked on my laptop while Relzo and Vaelu tossed back and forth business ideas. Vaelu was surprisingly excited by the concept of coming up with his own business, and it was clear that he’d been stifled by the duties they’d pushed on him since young adulthood.
Relzo cooked us a lunch, replicator noodles of some sort with a salad of fresh greens and berries that they’d picked outside, and Vaelu and I sat at the table watching him as he bustled about the kitchen, whistling happily.
“Is it me, or is he moving like he’s had a dick in his ass several times in the last few days,” I asked, turning to Vaelu and expecting to find him laughing. Instead, he was staring at me.
“How did you know? How I felt. Earlier, the things you were thinking. I’ve never shared that with anyone.”
“Really? Because I feel like you’ve invited me into the depths of your soul.”
He stared out the window for a moment, then shrugged. “I’ve been trained to compartmentalize things — it’s meant for the really tragic things that happen to my therapy clients, but I end up doing it with my emotions, too. Certain things are difficult to feel.”
“It’s a human thing,” Relzo said. “They’re stubborn and independent, so she finds your inability to express your own stubborn independence relatable.”
I laughed. “That must be it.”
“And she sees us,” he added. “Like, the real us buried deep behind all the bullshit. She’s the only person in the universe who’d look at me and think, oh that guy wants to be submissive sometimes and get his ass fucked. But Lucky knows.”
“Just when I think he’s going to say something deep,” Vaelu said, grinning at me. But beneath the table he reached out and grabbed my hand, his thoughts full of love for our big Zangrel and for me.
“Fuck you, it was deep,” Relzo said. “It’s the same thing. No one else looked at you and realized you were miserable beneath all your trappings of wealth and power. Hell, I was inside your head, and I went along with your goddamn plan to stay on the space station because I thought it meant that much to you.”
“I’m not entirely sure that’s how that happened…” I said.
“Okay. Even now, I thought we were soothing his wounds from losing his life’s work. And then you said that to him.”
“I thought it!”
“Same thing. I heard it, too. It’s your super power.”
“With everyone?” Vaelu said, eyebrows shooting up.
“No, just with us. That’s how we know she’s ours. That’s why we love her.”
