Chapter Ten
R aven was ready to grab a bat and beat up the men of the MC. Twist was a man she was attracted to, and so far, in the hours since he’d been released from Time Out, every freaking man had interrupted their time getting to know each other.
They’d moved from the diner to the bar. Axel had been sitting with them for the last forty-five minutes discussing storm chasing with Twist. It’s not that she didn’t find it interesting, but she wanted to spend time with Twist alone.
He’d started to tell her about his family until Axel had butted in .
At this rate, she was going to be lucky if she ever got him alone again.
And she wanted him alone again. When he’d asked for a kiss after being let out of the Time Out room, she was more than ready to comply.
She’d been wondering what his lips felt like.
His hair had come loose from the man bun he’d worn when he walked into the bar.
It hung around his shoulders, making him look sexy, like he’d just rolled over in bed.
She’d leaned close to touch her lips to his.
She’d planned just a quick buss on the lips, but at the feel of his lips, she couldn’t help herself.
She’d needed more. For once, she’d just let herself feel, not weighing the consequences until one of her brothers had yelled, throwing what amounted to a bucket of ice water on them.
She wanted another kiss to see if it had really been as good as she thought or had it been a fluke, just from kissing a man for the first time in a while.
Raven was trying to figure out how to get Twist away from Axel when Mace, along with Avery—who was Abby’s brother and had provided the land their MC sat on—walked in, heading to their booth.
Would it be justifiable homicide if they were keeping her from kissing Twist and possibly getting him naked?
But then again, if she disappeared their bodies afterward, there wouldn’t be anything to charge her with.
Only her love for these men was keeping her from acting on her thoughts. Mace had texted that it had been a productive talk with Pit and his Saint’s Outlaws MC. They’d headed back but had promised to talk more later.
“Hey, Twist, there are two ladies outside with your vehicle,” Mace said .
And now she had to deal with these men acting like little boys with their toys. At this rate, she might never get him alone.
Twist got out and held his hand out to help her.
She took his hand, and he led her outside.
A tall brunette dressed in jeans, a black leather jacket, and sunglasses was standing by a redhead who had on jeans and a jean jacket.
Both women were gorgeous. If he hadn’t said they were the wives of his MC brothers, she would have been jealous.
Which was strange because she didn’t have reason to be jealous yet.
“Hey, Remi and Beth! Thanks for bringing my vehicle. I’d like to introduce you to Raven and her President, Mace,” Twist said.
Remi held her hand out. “Nice to meet you.”
“You too,” Raven said .
Beth held out her hand, “I’m Beth, the youngest Franks sister. Remi’s the oldest. I’m so glad Twist was here because I’ve never been to this town. I love a small-town atmosphere.”
“So, who got to drive Storm Sweeper?” Twist asked.
“Well, we agreed that we’d take turns, but since it was such a short drive, someone wouldn’t share,” Remi said.
Raven smiled at Beth grinning at her sister.
“It drives great, but I left all the equipment in back alone. I did, however, check out the bed and small toilet area you had added—very nice,” Beth said. “Flick and I might need to get one of these small RVs. We could trailer his bike behind for long trips.”
Twist ran his hand along his vehicle as if it were his prized possession, next to his bike, and for what Raven guessed it cost, it probably was.
“Well, I appreciate you all bringing it. Are you heading back home tonight? What is it, four hours?” Twist asked.
Beth handed Twist his keys. “I think we’re either going to see if there is a motel here or drive back to Kansas City.
The parts we were supposed to be picking up were delayed and won’t be in until around four p.m. tomorrow.
So, things must be going better. We passed Pit and the group on the road, heading back to Kansas City. ”
Mace stepped forward. “Yes. We needed to clear up a couple things, but everything is good now. I’m pretty sure we have one of the cabins at our RV it had just been a really long time since she had.
She nodded. She let Mace know they were leaving for a while. With what they did, they didn’t take chances. When someone left the property, they let someone know.
