“But he’s such a hot Daddy,” I can’t help but tease him, he hides his snort with a cough.

“Your ass is going to be so red tonight, sweet girl, and if you want to call someone Daddy, I’m right here; make me one.” I just shake my head at him, he needs to stop with this getting me pregnant nonsense, even if my pussy is currently getting wet at his words. “It’s happening, and soon.”

“It’s good to see you, son.” God, they even sound alike.

“You too, Dad.”

“Daddy,” I whisper.

“Brat,” he whispers back. “You know what?” he says with a sly grin, his parents are currently distracted with something by the grill and I realize I may have pushed him too far. “I’ve thought of a better punishment, rather than spanking your ass, I’m going to fuck it.”

All of a sudden, the humidity, whether his parents would like me or not, our relationship surviving after this trip; none of it matters, because tonight, I’m going to die.

Chapter Twenty-two

She’s gone again. I bet she’s withhim. Maybe I’ll get rid of him, too. One thing’s for sure, I’m taking her the next chance I get. It’s about time I make her realize she’s mine.

Chapter Twenty-three

Peyton

We’ve just finished a delicious lunch of ribs and salad, Jilly said she wanted to keep it light as we’re all booked into a restaurant for dinner tonight, and Beau wanted to do his speciality ribs for me. According to Bennett, his father is showing off for me, which is fine by me; I’m more than happy to have two hot men spoil me.

“So tell me, Peyton, what is an intelligent, beautiful, younger woman doing with my old grump of a son?” Beau asks me from across the table. I’m sat next to Bennett, his arm is resting along the back of my chair and his fingers are idly playing with my hair.

“Oh, I’m just with him for his money,” I shrug. There’s a slight pause and for a moment I wonder if my dry sense of humor was too much. However, a second later and his father throws his head back as a raucous laugh leaves his body and his mum chuckles away next to him.

“Oh, Peyton, I like you, dear.” His father smiles at me and Bennett damn near growls next to me.

“Keep your flirting to yourself, old man, this one’s taken.”

“I don’t see a ring on her finger?” Beau raises his eyebrows at Bennett and I can’t help but laugh at their dynamic.

“Seeing as we’ve known each other a matter of weeks, I should hope not,” I mutter.

“Time is meaningless when you know. I knew I wanted to marry Jilly the moment I met her.”

“Then why did you wait three years before you proposed?” she demands cheekily.

“Because everyone told me it was too soon. Worst decision I ever made, listening to those idiots.” It’s clear to see how much they love each other. It’s what I want — what I want with Bennett. I just need him to be honest with me for us to be able to have it.

“Trust me, there’ll be a wedding and babies soon,” Bennett states from beside me and I whip my head around to him.

“There will not be.”

He smirks at me as he continues to gently pull at my hair. “Keep telling yourself that if it helps, sweetheart.”

“Oh, Beau,” his mum gushes. “They are just perfect for each other.” I’m starting to realize that stubbornness and not listening seems to be a Miller trait.

I’m at the local mall with Jilly while the guys play a round of golf, she said she wanted to get a new dress for tonight and I could hardly deny her when she asked if I’d come along. Plus, I’m a girl, I like shopping and getting pretty things, it’s in my nature. I used to love to go shopping with my mum, it’s one of the little things I miss. It’s something I’m sure Jilly has missed too.

“Oh, that’ll look beautiful on you. Try it on,” she encourages as she adds another item to her growing pile. It’s not something I’d normally wear, but it grabbed my attention the moment I saw it. It’s red and I don’t normally wear red, not with my blonde hair, it makes me look like a Barbie doll, but this dress is screaming at me. It’s tight fitted with a sweetheart neckline and thick straps over the shoulders, it’s got a high slit on one leg and the back dips down low to my waist.

“I don’t know, Jilly. Do you not think it’s a bit much?” I question, still holding the dress up in my hands.

“Absolutely not, it’s the perfect amount. Bennett is going to go berserk when he sees you in that.”Well, decision made then. There’s nothing I love more than winding my man up. “There’s a shoe shop next door and they’ve got a pair in there that would look lovely with that dress, my treat.” She declares and wanders off towards the changing room before I can tell her no.
