“Come to me,” he said above the noise. “Come and take your fill. If you want to.”
I resisted him, staying in place.
“Come, Paris,” he spoke, his lips moving, so not in my head. “You have to feed.”
“I don’t want…” I swallowed, the sensation like gulping sand. “I don’t want this.”
Scumbag. Fucking scumbag making me come here to endure this. Calling me to partake in this depravity. Because that’s what it was. Dirty. Crude.
Sinful.
“You’re a monster,” I said, pushing against my desire.
“Then you can leave and feed later.”He did say this part inside my head this time.“I won’t force you. Remember what I said.”
Easy for him to say when I craved his blood so much. He shouldn’t have put me in this situation.
I made myself laugh. Was I for real? Being a thrall was my punishment, for fuck’s sake. Whynotforce me? Why not have me passed around this room to really plunge into dirty sin?
After all, he didn’t care about a vampire killer. He wanted to hurt me like I wanted to hurt him. This was a game. He’d said himself that I’d had it easy, so here we go. Bring on the pain. Whatever he said about choice, it meant nothing because I knew he was a rotten monster at heart.
He might not be commanding me, but my lust grasped at the wheel. It got me to my feet, my fingers fiddling with the left sleeve of the tank top.
Not this.
Never this.
Elio stood up, kissing the king. Silvanus dropped the goblet, cupping the elf’s head, taking his eyes off me.
My jaw clenched.
A hand slid to Elio’s arse, the king patting it playfully.
Get out of here…
The elf broke the kiss. Silvanus spun him to face this way, sliding his lips over his slender neck, nuzzling him.
Those hazel eyes met mine, smug triumph coming at me again.
My own envy went volcanic. I charged forward, leaping over bodies, about to drag the elf off my king.
I slammed on my brakes.
Not my king.
Never my king.
Silvanus looked at me, eyes boring into my soul. “Are you alright?”
Elio licked blood from his lips, still smug, the king’s hand on his dick.
The nerve of him, the nerve of all of them. Thralls and vamps, all gathered together, all engaging in this dirtiness. They all needed extermination, to be wiped off the face of the realm.
Shame on me for getting myself into this mess. The lusty wheel melted into a pile of gunk as it fucking well should be.
Shame on me for not killing the king. I should’ve tried harder, stabbed and stabbed and stabbed him until I smashed the Heart of All. Enjoyed the air being choked with the bone dust from the mass extinction of these scumbags.
Gone. Gone. Gone.
