Story: The Revenge Of The Dead Luna
Hi Everybody. So I had to go back to the drawing board with the story. I can't reedit for now so I'll like to correct this going forward.
Elias is Aegis's ex mate and the Alpha of the Pack the children were killed in.
Sheila is the name of her sister and Elias's mate.
Emery is Talia's mate.
I'm sorry for any confusion I caused.
Enjoy..

Aegis's First Person P.o.v
"So what did you find?," the King asks the attendant in the mortuary. He handed each of us a copy of the test results without a word.
King Damian chanced a look at me.
"The soil beneath the playground where the children died had traces of old blood magic. We found the witch’s signature buried in the earth. But the thing is..."
"What?" The King asked. "Who was it?"
He looked scared to give us the name.
“The Grey Bone Coven,” he whispered, like it hurt to say it. “They marked the place and mistakenly left a trace spell. It's an Old technique but we found them."
He was looking at me again.
Alpha Elias stiffened beside me. Beta Solice said nothing, arms folded, his face hard to read.
"Well have to mobilize to sniff them out. Aegis you're coming with me."
"ME?"
Damian turned to me.
“Yes, I need you with me,” he said simply.
My heart skipped, stupidly. I looked away.
“Why?”
He chuckled light-heartedly, “Because I trust you.”
I opened my mouth to argue.
My phone rang.
My caller ID showed Sugar mommy for life. Brianna.
I turned and slipped out of the lab,“Give me a moment.”
I walked until I found a quiet, forsaken spot behind the storage unit.
“Bri?”
“Aegis!” She sounded tired. “We haven't heard from you? Are you okay?”
“I’m fine. You?”
“I’m losing my mind,” she whispered. “ I forgot exactly how hard being an Alpha is.”
I swallowed. “We found something in the soil test. It’s the Grey Bone Coven.”
"Are you sure?," she ponders for a bit.
“Now that I think about it, of course it is,” she hissed. “Those freaks have been hiding in plain sight.”
Static crackled and she switched the call to video. Brianna’s face appeared and behind her, two other familiar faces leaned in.
Noah and Zach.They looked exhausted.
“We’ve also been trying to track the spell signatures you sent to us,” Brianna said. “It’s scattered. They’ve been testing on animals. On children. Elias’s name showed up in one of the chants.”
“What?”
“He was supposed to be a vessel. Someone’s been poisoning him.”
My chest tightened. Damian was right.
Noah cuts in. “You know what that means, right? If he’s compromised....”
“We can’t trust him,” I said quickly. “I know.”
"Wait does this mean Elias is forgiven?
"Of course not. We'll just have to be more careful."
Zach leaned forward. “You okay?”
“No.”
I heard her before I saw her.
“Well, well.”
I turned sharply. Sheila stood behind me, arms crossed, her eyes cold and sharp.
“I've been looking for you," she said.
Brianna’s face changed. “Is that—?”
“I’ll call you back,” I said quickly, and ended the call.
Sheila stepped closer. “What were you doing with my mate yesterday?”
I didn’t move. “Your mate?”
" I've been watching you with him,” she sneered. “You're throwing yourself at him, you little whore."
“Don’t,” I ordered.
“Oh please,” she rolled her eyes. “ I see the way you look at him?”
"Look at him? "
"Don't play dumb with me. I'm going to tell everyone. The great Alpha Aegis is nothing more than a slut," she says laughing maniacally.
"First of all, I don't want your coward of a mate. Secondly since you want to play like that. Wanna know what I know?"
I stared at her. Hard. “You’re the one poisoning him.”
She flinched. Just slightly but that was all the confirmation I needed. She's the second Intel.
I kept going.
“Your father gave the orders. You slipped it into his drinks. Into his food. That’s why he’s losing time.”
“You have no proof.”
I stepped forward, toe to toe. “You really want to test me?”
Her face twitched.
“You’ll regret this,” she hissed.
“No I won't ,” I said softly. “But you will.”
She turned and stormed off, her heels clicking like thunder on stone.
I didn’t move. My hands shook.
From rage.
---
I walked back into the lab and Damian looked up immediately.
Elias stood to the side, rubbing the back of his neck. Solice leaned against the wall, still silent.
Damian turned to Elias. “Apologize.”
“What?”
“For last night,” he said, eyes sharp. “You entered her room without consent. You crossed a line.”
Elias blinked. “Wait. I did what?”
“You entered Alpha Aegis's room last night and nearly assaulted her.”
"What," he whispered brokenly. Elias looked at me sheepishly.
“I’m so sorry, Alpha Aegis. I don’t know what happened. Things have been… weird.”
I said nothing.
He took a step closer. “I must have wondered in awe of your beauty.”
Still nothing.
His smirk faded a little.
Damian’s jaw twitched.
“You’re been poisoned,” the King said flatly.
Elias’s eyes widened.
“Someone’s been dosing you with Balrush mixed with control root. That’s why your wolf is unstable.”
Elias swallowed. “I’ve been waking up in strange places. I thought I was losing it.”
“You are,” I muttered.
Damian turned to me. “Aegis and I will help you get to the root of it.”
“No,” I said. I would rather tear out my own limb and feed it to a Jaguar.
Damian’s head snapped to me. “What?”
I faced him. “I’m not doing that.”
“You’re my Aid.”
“Not anymore.”
His eyes searched mine. “What are you saying?”
“I quit.”
“Aegis...”
“I can’t work for him,” I said. “I won’t.”
He took a step closer. “You’re angry.”
“You bet i am.”
He nodded slowly. “Go get some rest. We'll talk about this later. But don’t run.”
I looked away and walked out.
I'm going home.

Meanwhile…
Beta Solice stood smiling in the shadows outside the lab.
It’s done,” he said into the phone in his hand. “She’s out.”
“Good,” the voice said. “Begin Phase Two.”
“Kill the King?”
“No,” the voice replied. “Break him.”
Solice smiled.
“Gladly.”
