The day of life bring people the greatest sadness, while the day of death brings the greatest joy. At least that's how it is to Juniper. The Queen of Demons sits next to Lucifer in a round booth across from the psychotic Original Hybrid.
A lively Irish band plays, all the other guests dance and cheer celebrating the life of the beloved Priest. Juniper stares at the upset Hybrid, who's fiddling with his drink.
Klaus looks up at Juniper after feeling a pair of eyes on him, she offers him a small smile knowing what terrors are haunting his mind.
Marcel Gerard walks into Rousseau'smaking eye contact with the hostile Hybrid, he'sonly here because he was granted a day of sparing to be there for Camille. To everyone's surprise the overthrown king of New Orleans makes a toast at the Priest's wake.
"I know I haven't been around these parts lately.
It's a testament to Father Kieran that we could come together and share a drink and a story or two.
Kieran rolled into town on a rusty old cruiser after his daddy died twenty-five years ago.
" Marcel begins, causing June to crack a small pitifulsmile.
"And- damn it- that guy could party. That was of course before he took his vows, but even then he was committed to the Quarter.
He knew that this town needed him. And we still do.
To Father K." Marcel raises a glass he poured himself.
"To Father K." Everyone raises their glasses cheering respectfully.
Juniper takes a sip of her Bourbon setting the glass back down on the table, her dark eyes follow the upset bartender to the kitchen. June quickly mutters an excuse following Camille.
The mourning blonde bartender has a hand over her mouth trying to pull herself. Juniper wraps her arms around her friend, Cami begins to sob.
"I know sweetie, just let it all out." Juniper consoles Cami rubbing her back. "It's okay to cry, just let it out. No one will judge you."
"Looks like we had the same idea," Francesca comes inside from the back door smirking at Juniper and Cami. "It's Cami right?"
Cami hastilywipes away her tears, Juniper keeps an arm around the blonde's shoulder glaring at the rude Francesca.
"What do you want?" June growls.
Francesca chuckles, "Hi Juniper. Cami I've been informed that Kieran's necklace is missing, and the key that he always wore, I assume he left it for me." She smiles at Cami.
Juniper scoffs, of course this bitch has no humanity."Excuse me?" Cami asks.
"How rude of me, I'm Francesca Correa. I took over your Uncle's position as faction representative when his mental faculties were compromised." The woman still wears a smile
Cami crosses her arms, "His faculties weren't compromised, he was hexed."
"Hexed by one of our enemies."What is this bitch up to? June narrows her eyes at the woman ready to rip her head off. "Look, I'm invested in protecting the people of this city. And to do that, I need the key."
"You don't want to protect the people, you just want more drunken tourists to come to your pathetic excuse of a casino." said Juniper. "Now get the fuck out of here."
"I need the key." Francesca is persistent, causing Juniper to let out a dark growl.
"It must have fallen off during the evens that led to his untimely death. I'm so sorry." Cami grits out, anger tears fill her eyes.
The blonde storms out of the kitchen, Juniper waits a little bit smirking darkly at Francesca. Within seconds Juniper is pinning Francesca against the wall, her claws tightening around the human's throat.
"If you come near her again, I will slaughter your posse of bitches and feed them to you until you become so full that your stomach bursts and all the acid burns your insides painfully killing you." June lets go flashing her demon eyes. "And you know I'm not bluffing."
Juniper exits the kitchen heading back to the table with a scowl on her painted lips. She sees two of her friends in have taken a seat replacing the one that has left.
"Hey June," Hayley huffs taking off her sweater.
"Juniper," Elijah greets. "You look lovely,"
"Well suits are made for women," The Queen of Demons jokes, tapping Klaus' shoulder, "Scoot." Rolling his eyes Klaus moves over, "Where's Luci?"
"Your friend left a little after I arrived saying something about my brother here and I quote 'killing his buzz'." Elijah answers.
"Hmm makes sense," she mutters adjusting her top so she doesn't show too much cleavage. This is a wake after all.
"Sod off," Klaus grumbles.
June leans back in the seat playing with the ends of her ponytail while the other hand slowly intertwines with Klaus'. Hayley and Elijah are oblivious to the fact that Juniper is comforting the raging psychopath.
The pregnant werewolf leans forward in her seat. "What's the deal with these moonlight rings? Oliver's trying to start a revolution every five seconds. People are scared, angry. And, frankly, I'm tired of stalling." She tells her baby daddy.
"It's a day of peace Hayley, try to enjoy it." June says, grabbing the drink in front of Klaus, downing it in one gulp. Klaus glares causing June to roll her eyes.
"In the meantime with all manner of unknown enemies conspiring against our family, you'll move back in with us." Klaus tells the wolf.
"Awesome," Hayley sasses. "Then we can do that thing where you lock me in the tower, I escape, there's drama, and then you two both realize that I'm very capable of looking after myself."
"Sounds like a good plan to me," June shrugs looking at the Noble Original who is trying not to laugh.
"The rings are in progress, I will live up to my word.
We will find and punish whoever launched the attack on the Bayou.
And you will return to the Compound for you're own safety.
But right now, I'm gonna finish this bottle and the next in the hopes of drowning the demon that has chosen today to haunt me.
Cheers,Mikael.ImpeccableFreudiantiming. " Klaus drunkenlyrants.
Elijah sits up in his seat, "Elaborate."
Klaus doesn't answer, so his older brother ask him if he has been dreaming of their father. The drunk Original pouts telling the group to laugh at him if they wish but he is reassured that his dreams are no laughing matter considering Elijah has been seeing Mikael as well.
If they're both seeing him then it can't be just Klaus' demonic version of Mikael. But is it possible?
"Perhaps our elusive, unknown enemy is orchestrating a further attack," Elijah glares at someone in the crowd, everyone at the table looks at who it is.
The deviousred haired witch smirks at the group, Juniper quickly takes her hand off of Klaus glaring at the witch bitch.
"Well, then what better way to punctuate a day of peace than by killing someone?" Klaus forces a smile, waving at Genevieve.
"Only if I get to take off her head," June smiles darkly at the two brothers. I don't think she's the one doing it but I want her dead anyways so why not.
~
"Hi witch bitch." Juniper smirks sitting on the glass counter in the Voodoo shop.
Juniper, Klaus, and Elijah have been waiting to the resurrectedwitch to come back to the tacky little tourist shop. So they can have a little chat.
"Would you care to explain why you would choose to torment my brother and I with visions of our father?" Elijah comes out from the shadows standing behind the witch.
"Your father?" Genevieve asks.
"That's what he said," Juniper says in a 'duh' tone.
"I didn't. I-I wouldn't."
"Of course. How foolish of me. It must have been that other witch that's been parading throughout our house in scraps of lace." Elijah remarks causing Juniper to snicker.
"I know how talented you are with your tongue, Genevieve." Klaus leans in whispering in her ear, twirling a piece of her red hair with his finger. Juniper frowns. "Might I recommend you use it to provide answer? I would so hate to tear it from your mouth." Klaus backs away with a smirk.
"As much as I enjoy these repeated accusations of wrongdoings, I don't know what you're talking about.
" Juniper stares into the witches eyes looking for flicker of a demon to tell her that she's lying but she doesn't. "But if you've both been seeing your dead Father, I can try to get you answers.
" A dark flicker of a demon shows itself to Juniper.
"Let her go," June speaks up.
All three of them look at the Queen of Demons with furrowed brows.
"Juniper-" Elijah warns.
June raises her gun at the Noble Mikaelson, "If one of you touches her I will blow your brains out. Goodbye Genevieve."
The red haired witch bitch leaves without a second to hesitate. Elijah looks at the Queen of Demons about to go on a furious scolding but June grabs both brother's hands transporting them back to the Compound.
Juniper stands at the window looking out on the dark streets of the Quarter, she lights a cigarette turning to the brothers.
"It was pretty fucken obvious that you don't trust her- with good reason too- but she wants us to believe that we do.
So lets do, at least pretend we do. Or at least he should.
" June points to Klaus. "She knows you're not stupid enough to believe her shit and I want her fuckenhead on my shelf.
Besides, Princess here still needs a witch to make the moonlight rings for Baby Mamma and the rest of the pack.
So I say use her to get answers, make the rings, and then I get to kill her.
If she doesn't cooperatethen I get to kill her regardless, it'll be a win-win for everyone.
And I have a few demons tracking her so if they find anything then I'll know. "
"I like the sound of that plan, little demon." Klaus smirks.
"What can I say I am a Queen of many talents." Juniper smiles. "Alright ladies this was fun but I'm going out."
"Where are you going?" Klaus asks.
"I'm gonna meet Baby Mamma. We would be going to a bar but magical pregnancyand all so we settled on cupcakes." Juniper puts out her cigarette. "Who knows maybe we'll talk about who we want to murder and who we want to see murder others, like girls do." She jokes with a devilish grin.
Elijah rolls his eyes while Klaus chuckles. "I might be back in a little bit, bye bitches."Juniper uses her powers to leave.
~
The Queen of Demons arrives in front of a gated mansion, she opens the squeaky metal gate slipping through. Her heels click on the stone pathway, Hayley sits on the steps to the luxurioushome.
"How long have you been here?" June asks taking a seat next to her.
"About twenty minutes. What took you so long?"
"Something came up." June shrugs.
A soft silence covers the two as they wait for a certain casino owner to show up. June's foot bounces as she waits, staring at the water fountain.
She presses her lips in a thin line not sure what has come over her but she whispers, "I slept with Klaus,"
"You what?" Hayley looks at her friend with wide eyes.
"Twice." Juniper nods sighing. "The first time it just happened and the second time was like as if we were in a relationship."
"Wow."
"Yeah." Juniper hears a car door slam shut. "Someone's here."
Francesca Correa walks up to the house on her phone with a bodyguard. The rude woman smiles at her phone looking up to see the two angry women.
"Hayley right?" She asks her smile fading quickly before looking back down at her phone. "I'm guessing you're not here because you want to make a new friend."
"Why would she befriend a terrorist, like you?" June asks standing. Hayley does the same.
"Wow. I've been accused of everything from grand larceny to blackmail. But terrorist, that's new." the tall dark haired woman glares at the Demon Queen.
"A human pulled up to my home in the Bayou on a motorcycle and blew himself up." Hayley begins to explain.
"I heard. Awful." Francesca holds out her hand for her bodyguard to give her the keys, not an ounce of sincerity is drawn on her face. "Goodnight." She walks past both supernaturals.
Hayley turns around not done talking to the wench, Francesca's bodyguard puts a hand on the pregnant werewolf earning a bullet to the head. Francesca turns around with wide angry eyes.
"Oops." Juniper smiles showing her demon eyes and fangs. She continues to shoot the already dead body. "I thought he was you." Her voice lowers a few octaves scaring the hell out of the cocky woman. "Now shut up and listen."
"Word on the street is he owed one hundred grand to the Palace Royal Casino. And then after he died, the debt was erased. Just like magic."
Francesca looks at both supernatural women for a second before answering. "Jeff was a fixture at my roulette table. Sometimes he was up, and sometimes he was down. I absolved his family of the debt he owed out of the goodness of my heart."
"I didn't know you had one of those," Juniper remarks.
Francesca ignores her, "Feel free to sniffaround, my hands are clean.
" She turns around to unlock her door before turning back around with a heavy glare.
"And I'd advise you to mind your manners.
Its lucky you're still alive. You're the ones the wolves all whisper about, like royalty.
" Francesca steps closer to Hayley. "If I was interested in hurting the wolves, you'd be my target. "
A final gunshot echos through the night, along with the sound of shattering glass. Francesca grabs the side of her head, pulling back her hand she sees blood.
Juniper grabs Francesca by the throat lifting her off the ground, with a wicked smile ready to slaughter. "You're lucky. I missed." She growls digging her claws into Francesca's throat squeezing the life out of her.
Instead of killing her like Juniper wanted to, she is let go. The wicked smile still on Juniper's dark lips, both her and Hayley watch the human scurry inside.
The two leave the Correa property, stopping because Hayley got a chill. Juniper wraps an arm around the wolf using her powers to drop her off at the Bayou before heading back home.
Juniper sent the Hybrid a quick text message saying that she wasn't in the mood to go back over.
In return, the psychotic Hybrid comes over to explain everything that the vengeful red hair witch has told them about Purgatory, the place where the souls of the supernatural are trapped, imploding.
So Mikael chooses to torment his children one last time before completely disappearing.
But what the Hybrid failed to mention is that Genevieve asked to spend some time with him, alone.
