In morning Elijah woke up the Queen of Demons extra early so she can babysit the King of New Orleans.

After very little argument about why she should babysit Klaus she agrees to.

June rolled out of bed dragging herself to the restroom, freshening herself up.

When she is finished freshening up she changes into a navy blue lace trim swing spaghetti strap tank top, not bothering to put on a bra, she covers herself with a long white knitted cardigan.

She slips out of her pajama shorts to slide on her favorite pair of jeans.

Quickly she runs a comb through her hair, untangling it putting it into a side fishtail braid.

June gets an empty bag from her closet putting a couple of books, magazines, her notebook, and other things to keep her entertained in it.

She walks with Elijah to Klaus's room, humming a tune.

"Papa Tunde's blade is still inside him?" June asks as they enter the room. She sees the pale, unconscious Hybrid lying in his bed, shirtless. June looks at the large red scar that runs down his torso.

"Yes and every second it causes Niklaus untold suffering. And now I intend to remove it. You might want to take a step back," Elijah rolls up his sleeve standing over his younger brother.

"And out of all the people you could have asked you asked me because why?" June stands on the side of the bed, yawning.

"You're probably the only one he wouldn't immediately slaughter.

" Elijah uses a scalpel to cut open the scar.

Elijah sticks his hand through the wound searching for the blade.

"Also, he speaks of you with what is a rare degree-- for him at least-- of respect.

Even though you two fight a lot, you challenge him in many ways and somewhat make him want to be a better man.

Which is a wonderful skill that I shall be counting on very shortly.

" Elijah pulls out the blade. Klaus gasps, his eyes stay open for a few seconds but flutter shut.

"You're kidding right?" June raises an eyebrow at the Noble Original not believing that Klaus has more toleration for her than he does most people.

"Nope. You see, Niklaus will be weak as he recovers so watch over him and feed him if you would but slowly, please.

I have left you a couple of blood bags and four large bottles of vervain, mix the vervain in the blood and feed it to him.

The vervain will cause him to ingest it slower.

" Elijah grabs the clean towel wiping the blood from his hands.

"And possibly persuade him not to murder his baby sister. "

The Noble Original looks at the Queen of Demons, who nods.

He then turns to Klaus who is staring at the ceiling.

Elijah tells Klaus that he did this to protect Rebekah and promises to defeat Celeste.

Klaus weakly whispers to his brother that he and Rebekah will pay for what they've done.

Elijah looks at Juniper, both nodding to each other before he leaves.

It had been hours since Elijah left the two psychotic rulers together.

June is sitting on a chair that she pulled next to the bed.

She pours some blood in a glass for Klaus; adding some vervain she mixes it with a bendy straw.

The Original Hybrid watches her; he notices her hands slightly shaking.

June brings the straw to his lips allowing him to drink.

Klaus gulps down the blood, causing June to yell at him to slow down.

Juniper pulls the straw out of his mouth.

Some blood spills out from the straw onto Klaus's lips and chest.

"Doesn't it burn? Because some vampires I've killed can't even stand the smell of vervain." Juniper sets the glass down rubbing her hands on her jeans before grabbing a cloth to clean the spilled blood.

"As you may have yet to realize, June, the line between what brings us pain and what sustains us is far thinner than one imagines." Said Klaus weakly.

June scoffs "You want to compare the pain of a flower to the excessive need to kill one of your siblings? Hell, you are crazy." She shakes her head at him.

"I'm too weak for you to be bickering right now," Klaus turns away closing his eyes.

June's mouth drops open in disbelief. "I do not bicker," She comments as she gently wipes the blood off his chest. Placing the cloth down on the nightstand she leans back into the chair she's been sitting on. She begins to hum.

Klaus turns back to face her opening his eyes to look at her. "Yes you do, luv."

June looks up from her hands to his lips, noticing the dark red liquid on his bottom lip. She absentmindedly uses her thumb to wipe the blood off of Niklaus' lip. Klaus silently watches her, with furrowed brows, she place her thumb in between her own lips licking off the blood.

"I do not," She continues the conversation. "Besides she is your sister. How can you hate her that much?"

Laying there Klaus stares at June's lips surprised, snapping out of it he answers. "Because she has done what no one else has managed to do to me for one thousand years... rip my heart out."

Juniper listens to Klaus tell the story of how he knew Marcel and Rebekah were sleeping together in the nineteen twenties. How he allowed them to finally be happy together when she betrayed him by bringing his father to town.

Klaus slowly gets up, with Juniper's help he puts on his button up shirt.

June looks at him confused as to why he cares so much about revenge when Rebekah and Marcel could be hundreds of miles away from New Orleans.

Klaus explains how that is impossible telling the Queen of Demons that home is the only place that they can go.

June writes in her notebook humming softly to herself while Klaus sleeps.

Her hands begin to itch, she freezes to clench her fists a couple of times.

Her attempt to end the itching sensation works, looking back up at Klaus she sees that he is still asleep.

With a sigh she closes her eyes and leans her head back.

This gains Klaus's attention. He opens his eyes tilting his head to one side watching her take deep breaths. He squints his eyes noticing how her normally creamy skin color is paler than usual. His eyes trail down to her clenched, trembling hands.

"Are you okay, luv?" Klaus sits up, gaining Juniper's attention.

June puts her head down to look at him "Yeah, I'm fine. You on the other hand should be laying down, not getting up."

Klaus ignores her, making an attempt to stand. Juniper grabs him by the shoulders and sits him back down, pushing lightly to lay down on his back. An idea pops into her devious head causing her to smirk.

"I could help ease the pain. You know the pain that Rebekah has caused, the pain that you've been holding onto for years." June smiles softly pulling the blanket over him so he is comfortable.

"And how would you do that, luv?" Klaus questions causing her to playfully roll her eyes.

"Take away one of your demons, duh." June chuckles, Klaus raises both brows confused. "Don't worry it won't hurt... a lot."

"I thought the person had to be dead in order for you to take the demons?" Klaus asks.

"Technically they don't. I just like the thrill in killing someone and taking their demons. Plus, it is easier to take them if the person's dead," June shrugs. "So what do you say, yes or no?"

Klaus takes a moment to think, with a nod of her head he looks at June watching a small smile grow on her lips. "What do I have to loose?"

June smiles before grabbing her blade out of her bag.

She pulls it out telling Klaus to relax and think about the pain that he has been holding onto for years.

With a quick prick of the finger Klaus winces watching Juniper collect some of his blood on her blade.

Dropping his hand June dips both of her middle fingers into Klaus's blood that's collected on the knife.

The Hybrid doesn't say anything as he watches her prepare.

"This is gonna hurt just a little bit, just don't fight it." June tells him.

Juniper places one middle finger on each of his temples, delicately.

She closes her eyes, taking a few deep breaths.

June whispers in her native language as she attempts to summon Klaus's demon; Klaus begins to tense up.

Juniper grabs her knife and Klaus's hand again slicing open his palm; Klaus lets out a small gasp.

Still whispering in her language she lures the demon out ignoring the groans from Klaus as he feels the pain of his demon travel down his arm to the wound on his palm.

The demon comes out of his palm, standing in front of June with a bow of its head it holds out its hand so she can allow it into her body.

A small smile forms on her pale lips she cuts open her palm accepting the demon.

Once it is all over June burns her wound close and lets Klaus drink vervain laced blood to recover. She apologizes for the amount of pain that he was in since his demon was resisting at first. Klaus thanks her before sleeping off his exhaustion.
