Page 165 of The Promise Of Rain
I love you; I always have. And I’m so grateful you came back for me.
The last few months have been stormy, and I’m so sorry for everything that hurt you, but there are no more secrets between us.
I’d like to stay in Moose Lake with you.We have friends here, family.I think we should buy the house, the two of us, together.
And I want to make a family with you, with a baby, maybe two.
I’m ready for us.
And I’m ready for you.
You have my heart. You have all of me.
Come home.
I’m ready.
Love Jenny.
P.S.I’m so glad you’re here.
P.S.S.I’m in our bedroom. Please don’t make me wait too long.
I took a deep breath and let it out slowly.
Everything I always wanted, everything I dreamed about, waited for me on the other side of that door.
I swallowed tightly, my heart pounding even as my dick stirred in my pants at what was to come.
Would she be kneeling on the bed?
I shook the thought from my head.It was too early to hope for that kind of vulnerability. That had to be earned, and I wasn’t nearly there yet.
I made myself walk up the path, not that I could run all that comfortably with an erection.Once inside, I called out to let her know it was me.
“It’s me, baby.”She didn’t answer.“Be patient for just a little while longer.I’ll be there in a few minutes.”
Stepping up to the sink, I got myself a glass of water, tucked what I needed into my pocket, and grabbed a bottle of water for her.
If my hunch was correct, she was going to need it.
And I wanted to be ready.
I took a steadying breath.
At least, I wanted to be as ready as I could be.
I took the stairs two at a time and jogged the remaining steps to our room before coming to an abrupt halt in the doorway.
I braced my hand on the doorjamb, my mouth salivating as I took her in.
She sat on her heels with her hands clasped in her lap, her cheeks flushed. She had gathered her inky hair up in a ponytail and it fell in a swoop over one shoulder.
Those baby blue eyes, wide but steadfast, gazed back at me as she rose to her knees, dropped her hands to her sides, and spread her thighs for me.
“Bloody hell,” I muttered, utterly enthralled.
Silky blue straps on a sheer bra that did all kinds of wonderful things to her breasts. The tiny blue embroidered flowers lent it an air of innocence, but it was anything but.The tiny matching panties barely covered her, and the only thing holding them onto her round hips were the slender ribbons tied at either side.
