Page 56 of The One Night Match
Because Riley is mine, and not even death could steal her away from me.
I wash her slowly, taking my time to move the sponge over every inch of body I can reach, and it’s only when I have no other choice that I finally dislodge myself and help her to her feet.
A growl tears from my chest as my cum slips down her thigh, and before I know what I’m doing, I gather it onto two fingers and push it back inside her, keeping it exactly where it belongs.
“Cruz?” she murmurs, watching me with lust-filled eyes.
“How do you feel about plugs?”
“Plugs?”
“I want to keep you full of me at all times, and a plug would definitely help with that.”
Her laugh fills the tiled shower, the most beautiful sound I’ve ever heard, and I can’t help but drag her back into my arms, holding her against my chest like she’s the most precious thing in the world.
And to me, she is.
“Cruz?”
“Hmm?”
“You tattooed my name above your dick.”
“Yep.”
“You know that’s kind of insane, right?”
“Uh-huh.”
“Especially given the fact that I’m actively trying to get you to agree to end our marriage.”
“I’m aware.”
“So why did you do it?”
I pull back slightly, just enough that I can look down at her. “Because you’re it for me, Kitten. So even if you get your way, no other woman will ever see that tattoo.”
She stares up at me, and for the first time since she walked down the aisle, she doesn’t look like she’s going to run for the hills at the first opportunity.
Baby steps.
TWENTY-NINE
RILEY
“He wasn’t even a little annoyed about Kevin?” Lexi asks, sipping on a glass of champagne as she flicks through a rack of dresses.
We’re shopping for our dresses for the ball next weekend. The one in my honor, to celebrate the boss finding a wife.
The idea of being the center of attention makes my skin crawl, which is why I’m already on my third glass of champagne and have settled into the warm comfort the bubbles bring.
“He said no at first, then I cried, and he agreed without any argument.” I half laugh.
“Huh. I never pegged my brother to be worried about a woman’s tears.”
I sigh. “I think it’s my tears that are the problem.”
“The man is down bad for you, babes.”
