RILEY

Iyawn as Cruz leads me back into our hotel room after a full day of exploring Rome.

We’ve been away for three weeks, and every single place we go becomes my new favorite place in the world, which my husband frequently points out can’t be possible.

But who needs logic?

“You want to have an early night? We could do room service, and I can fuck you against the window while you look down at the Colosseum?”

I groan. “How can a girl say no to that kind of offer?”

He chuckles, flicking through the menu we used when we ordered breakfast this morning. I’ll admit, traveling with Cruz is a lot different from the few times I went places with my parents as a kid, and I am enjoying every second of him spoiling me.

His phone buzzes from where he placed it on the table, and he reaches for it when he sees who’s calling. It took a week, but eventually everyone started calling Colten when they needed something, but only after Cruz told them he was going to gut them when he got home if they didn’t fuck off and let him enjoy his honeymoon.

He was joking…I think.

“Hey, man, what’s up?”

There’s a pause, and I watch as Cruz’s face morphs from confusion to amusement the longer his friend speaks.

“Just so I have this straight…you hacked the Mafia Matchmaker algorithm, matched yourself with Lexi, and now you’ve kidnapped her?”

The End
