Page 25 of The Life of Anna, Tenth Anniversary Edition, Act 2
Devin gave Peter permission to take Anna to his family’s home for Thanksgiving. The weekend before the holiday she went to the Friday night Gathering as usual, but Devin didn’t have sex with her or anyone else, nor did he have her attend to any of his friends. She sat on her knees next to him and was generally ignored the entire evening. He took her to bed that night, but didn’t have sex with her then, either.
The next morning, he woke her as the sun rose, sucking on her clit. He brought her to the edge of her climax and then stopped and held her down and fucked her hard, but wouldn’t allow her to come.
Ian appeared and, with a strange sense of déjà vous , he and Devin tied her to his bed. Suddenly she realized what they were doing. “No! No, Master, please don’t.” Kaveh would arrive and impregnate her. It was the same nightmare that happened this time every year.
Devin smiled and held up the syringe. “I thought about mixing the pregnancy elixir with your favorite fluid.” Anna was about to relax, but then he continued. “And so I did.”
She shook her head. “Please, Master . . .”
He pushed the needle into her neck, and the pain started immediately. It was much, much worse this time, and she screamed as it entered her bloodstream, setting her whole body on fire. The nerve juice amplified the agony, causing everything, inside and outside of her, to become unbearable, driving her to the brink of madness. She screamed and shook and yanked at her arms and legs, which made everything worse, until she finally found some semblance of thought and forced herself to be still and stare hard up at the ceiling. Her only movements were the shallow breaths which kept the pain to a minimum.
Devin frowned and sat next to her on the bed, tracing patterns on her stomach with his finger, which she would have sworn he’d attached razor blades to had she not known any better. She closed her eyes and tried to ignore his touch, but when he flicked her nipples and it felt as if he’d used a taser, she couldn’t help but begin screaming again. He slid his finger inside her and caressed her clit. She arched her back and screamed until she couldn’t scream anymore.
Kaveh appeared as the elixir fire subsided, but the nerve juice was still active. When he entered her body and pushed into her womb, she imagined it felt exactly like that thick sword Devin shoved inside the bodies of the slaves to kill them at the Spring Gatherings. Had she been able to scream, it would likely have echoed throughout the entire Manor. Kaveh moved his hips and pressed in deeper and deeper. Tears ran down the side of her face as her stomach cramped. He thrust hard and deep, the pain rising to unbelievable levels. But she couldn’t scream. She could only lay there and feel the agony. Her body tensed and exploded as if she were having an orgasm, but there was no pleasure. Only searing pain. His cum was like an injection of molten metal.
As he pulled away, a faint flicker of hope lit, thinking the pain would stop, but it didn’t. Then she remembered the nerve juice and tried to keep the tears from running down her cheeks, but couldn’t. The tears sliced open her cheeks as she lay on her stomach, unmoving. Devin turned her onto her back and ran his fingers all over her body. He played with her clit and every orgasm he forced was more and more painful until a bright light surrounded her and she knew no more.
“What’s wrong with her?” The voice sounded familiar, but Anna’s brain was too fuzzy to put a face to it.
Relief flooded her as she realized the white-hot pain was gone, though everything ached.
“She’s fine. Just some aftereffects of the morning.”
“Can I take her home? I have things I need to do this evening.” It was Peter. His was the voice she’d first heard. He sounded irritated.
“Of course. Or you can come get her tomorrow.” Devin sounded amused.
“I don’t want to drive back out here. You could have told me before I came that I’d be waiting. Besides, you had her already last night. I had to sleep alone.”
“You are always welcome to come on Fridays, Peter. You know that.”
“I appreciate that, but Friday nights are my favorite night to go to the clubs. Women are easier on Fridays after a long week of working.” He laughed and Devin laughed with him.
So that’s what Peter does on Fridays when I’m at the Manor. Well, at least she knew the truth about him now. Everything he’d told her, all the kindness... it had all been a lie.
“Just to warn you, she gets pretty bad morning sickness about a month in.”
“Great. And I have to deal with it?”
“You get to fuck her every night. That more than makes up for it.”
“Except for those lovely nights when she’s too beat up to be any good to me.”
“It can’t be helped, Peter. Men have violent appetites.”
Her belly cramped, and she rolled to her side and curled her knees to her chest. She groaned and someone pushed at her shoulder to roll her onto her back again. She opened her eyes to see Kaveh looking down at her with his golden eyes.
He put his hand on her stomach and smiled. “It’s done.”
Anna closed her eyes, and a wave of hopelessness swept over her. Another pregnancy to deal with. There was no happiness with this one. No Alex to give her hope. The baby would grow inside her until Devin needed it in the spring. And then he would rip it from her body. She wished she was doped up on drugs again. She didn’t have much memory of the previous two experiences and was plagued with the memories of what had happened the first time.
Peter sighed. “Where are her clothes?”
Fabric hit Anna’s legs and she slowly sat up. “Get dressed,” Devin said. “Your boyfriend wants to take you home.”
“Will I hurt the baby if I fuck her?”
“No,” Kaveh said. “It is nearly impossible to hurt the baby. Do not stab her in the stomach and it will be fine.”
The three men laughed and Anna crawled to her feet to dress. Her hands trembled, and it was difficult to fasten her jeans.
She hung her head as she followed Peter and Devin out of the Manor. Peter had deceived her like Devin had when she’d first came to the Manor. The last few weeks she’d begun to trust Peter. He’d been treating her like a real girlfriend, taking her out when he went somewhere or hung out with his friends. She’d thought he cared about her. But once again, she’d been deceived. What a stupid, na?ve, too-trusting girl she was.
Suddenly, an unexplainable urge welled up within her to visit the house she’d shared with Alex. She couldn’t pinpoint the reason, but the desire was almost unbearable. Maybe because that had been the one place in the entire city where she had felt truly safe. But she couldn’t ask Peter to take her. The thought of sneaking out crossed her mind. After all, who would even notice her absence?
But no, that would be foolish. She would make Peter angry. And Devin, too. Which would lead to punishment. Painful punishment. She pushed the thought aside.
Peter helped her into the blue Audi R8 he’d bought a few weeks previous and then drove away from the Manor toward home. Well, the apartment. The only home she’d ever had was where she’d lived with Alex.
Peter put his hand on her knee and she stiffened. “How are you feeling?”
“Fine,” she whispered. She stared out the window and blinked away tears.
“Are you hungry?”
“No.”
“I talked with Aaron and the others about going out tonight, but if you’re not up for it, we can stay in.”
He really did have things to do tonight. “You can go without me. I’m sure you’d enjoy yourself more that way.” Her voice was raspy, but he could hear her.
“I like going out with you. I have fun with you.”
Anna pressed her lips together. She wouldn’t let herself be sucked into his niceness again. She would obey him and please him as she was supposed to. My purpose in life is to provide sexual pleasure to men. Her hands tingled painfully and she rubbed the backs of them. She wanted to cry and scream at herself for being such an idiot. Why would Peter really care about her? He had a girlfriend at home. He was here because Devin thought she needed someone in her life. That was it. Nothing more.
“Are you sure you don’t want your uncle to bring your girlfriend out for Thanksgiving? I don’t mind staying home.”
Peter stared at the road ahead of him and didn’t answer right away. Anna turned and looked out the window, watching the buildings fly by. It was getting dark. After a long silence, he finally answered. “Vlad wants to get to know you.”
“Why?”
Peter shrugged.
They didn’t speak again until they were in the parking garage. Peter hurried around the car to help her out. “Do you want me to carry you?”
“I’m fine.” She limped to the elevators and he pushed the call button.
He stayed by her side the whole way to the apartment, not rushing her. When they made it to the apartment, he helped her onto the couch, then pulled out his phone. “Hey, Aaron... yeah... no, I think we’ll stay in tonight... Anna’s not feeling well... no... okay... okay, bye.”
She looked up at him. “You can go out. I’m fine staying here by myself.”
Peter sat next to her and pulled her legs into his lap. “No, you’re not. Devin told me what he did to you.” He sighed and shook his head. “You sure you don’t want to eat?”
Anna shook her head.
