I said nothing, not because her finger was in the way—that certainly wouldn’t have stopped me—but because I let my eyes do all the talking instead.

A request I could handle, unlike some of the others that had come to mind.

“I’ll make a deal with you,” I voiced.

“We’re negotiating?”

I smiled. “We can stop in the shower as long as I can take one with you.”

“Deal.”

When I walked us into the wing of my bedroom, I turned toward the en suite, reaching inside the large walk-in showerto turn on the water and setting her on the bench opposite the multiple showerheads.

“Don’t move.” While I left her there, I went into my bedroom and into my closet, grabbing a condom from the drawer where I hid them under my boxers—a place Daisy wasn’t tall enough to reach yet.

And as I made my way back to the bathroom, I stripped off my clothes. By the time I reached her, I only had my boxer briefs left.

“Good Lord,” she sang.

My hands stilled on the elastic waist. “What?”

“I knew you were hiding something special under those clothes, butthat?”Her eyes weren’t on mine; they were on my body, just like mine hadn’t been on hers once I got her naked. “ThatI didn’t see coming.”
