ROSE
We did good.
“Darlin’, what am I going to have to do to get you to run away with me?
” Taz flirts as he wraps his arm around my shoulder, and we head out into the yard full of people.
We’re throwing a small BBQ before the Dragons and Devil’s Predators leave later today, and of course, it means everything is in chaos.
Exactly the way I like it.
“That depends on what you have to offer me, sugar,” I drawl, winking up at him.
Taz is wild, but I instantly liked him. He can be serious when he needs to be, but he also just knows how to have fun and be a little crazy.
Exactly what a club like his needs. They’re all serious with dark shadows in their eyes, and while Taz has his own, he’s learned to cope with it in a way I can respect.
I also love that he has the men around here on their toes with the stuff that comes out of his mouth.
“Fun, adventure, and a cock that most would kill for,” Taz brags.
“I’ll give you everything you could want, darlin’.
” We step out into the sun, and I can already feel my man’s eyes on me.
And his scowl. I do love to rile that man up.
Even with how pissed he was at me over everything, he was also very attentive, giving me the time and space I needed to process everything.
Then he spanked my ass good and red and kept me on the edge just like he promised. It was torture and some of the best sex we’ve had, and that’s saying something after being together for so long. I’m almost anxious to try something to make him do it again.
“Hands off my woman,” Bullet growls, storming over and glaring at Taz.
Taz grins wickedly and hugs me tight to his side. “But she’s just so pretty. Just think of all the trouble we could get in!”
“That’s what he’s fucking afraid of,” someone calls out, and I turn my head to see Razor grinning at us, his arm slung over Karissa’s shoulder. The two of them make a lovely couple. I see a lot of fiery babies in their future.
Bullet shoves at Taz, who laughs and drops his arm, stepping back as Bullet pulls me into him possessively. I do love it when he does that.
“Alright, alright, I know when I’m beaten,” Taz grins and winks at me. “But you call me if you ever need anything, darlin’. Even if it’s just to keep this one in line.” Then he turns and walks away, whistling.
“That fucker is a fucking menace,” Bullet mutters as he takes the plate of food from my hand and walks with me over to the picnic table to put it with the others. We’re finally able to eat, from the look of things.
“He’s hilarious,” I grin. “And he’s made the last few days a bit more fun and you know it.” Bullet grumbles under his breath but he doesn’t argue.
Suddenly, a large peel of laughter comes from the other side of the yard and I look over to see that all the women have moved together, with little Macy in the middle, who is now making a B-line for Taz with a determined look on her face. Oh, this is going to be good.
“Uncle Taz!” Macy shouts insistently.
“What’s up, short stuff?” Taz asks, smiling down at her when she reaches him.
“No one will let me play with the dildo, and said that you’re the one hiding it. Why are you hiding it from me? It’s not nice to hide your toys and not share, you know.” She gives him a steely-eyed stare that could rival Shadow’s.
I laugh, grabbing onto Bullet to hold myself up. Bullet groans, but I can hear the chuckle underneath.
For once, Taz looks like he’s at a loss for words. His eyes are huge, his mouth open in shock. “I think we broke him,” Glitch howls.
All the women are clutching their stomachs laughing, while their men either are doing the same, or in the case of Shadow, looking harassed.
Even the Dragons have cracked a smile. Most of the Devil’s Predators look like they’re excited to see how this turns out.
It’s probably going to be material for them for the foreseeable future.
“Ah, well, your aunties lied to you, sweetheart,” Taz finally says when he recovers. “That’s not a toy Uncle Taz has with him. Maybe you’ll have to ask someone else if they’re hiding it.” He turns and aims a wicked grin at Rogue. “Why don’t you go and ask Uncle Ro-Ro over there if he knows?”
Macy turns and heads for Rogue, who looks like he’s trying not to lose his shit, while also coming up with a way to avoid the entire conversation.
“Shadow’s going to have his hands full with her,” Bullet chuckles softly in my ear. “And the other two that are coming.”
“We’re going to have to deal with them, Macy, and all the others that come along,” I agree happily. “Won’t it be wonderful?”
Bullet smiles down at me. “Yeah, it will be. Shadow said that when he was there, they got the sexes of the babies.”
“Please tell me they’re both girls.”
“Boy and girl. So he’ll have at least one ally in that house.” Bullet grins.
“And Syn found out she’s having a girl,” I say happily.
“Oh, William, this is all I wanted. Our boys, both biological and club-related, to have this. What we have and their own families.” I look at all the women on the other side, grinning and giggling together.
A unit that I’m so happy to have in my life.
Every single one of them. Including Isla, who is turning out to be an amazing young lady who is going to be something big and amazing as she gets older.
“Something tells me now that things are settled down, we’re going to have lots more grandbabies to come,” Bullet agrees. “Are you ready for that?”
“More than.” I look at everyone one more time.
It’s been a hard time the last few months, but like Bullet told me from his speech in Church, we’ve been through hell, but we’re coming out stronger on the other side.
We’ve lost good men along the way, but we’ll keep their memories alive. They’ll always be a part of our club.
“I love you, Bullet,” I whisper, leaning my head on his shoulder.
“I love you too, Rosie. We did good, didn’t we?” He nods at everyone running around, talking, and laughing.
Macy has apparently abandoned her dildo finding attempt in favor of running after Isla with a water gun, the dogs barking excitedly as they follow her.
This is what I had always wanted. It’s the best thing I could have ever asked for.
“We did really good, baby. We did really good.”
This is the end of the Devil’s Soldiers Series, but I won’t leave you without one more epic Coven shenanigans-filled adventure. With some help from their new friends, of course.
