Chapter 8

Repercussions

“Are you ready to get up? It’s almost midnight, but you haven’t eaten anything,” Brazen murmurs as his lips stroke mine.

“Not really hungry right now. If I get up, then I have to face reality. I don’t want to live here anymore. As for Angelica and Nicholas, I don’t give a fuck who trains her or where she goes, but I won’t be involved anymore. Let’s go live in one of the damn cities. I’ll make a living doing something other than interrogations,” I choke out, and Brazen’s arms tighten around me as his body cools my heated state.

“We can stay in bed, baby,” he soothes, and my bare body presses against his.

“Thank you. At least now we know why she was acting so weird. She didn’t want me to know,” I grouse.

He looks away briefly, and then his phone rings. He sighs when he stares at the number, and he hesitates before answering.

“Yeah?”

“Is she okay?” Hale asks, and I’m startled by the fact he just called Brazen.

“She’s still trying to process everything, but she’s still Araya if that’s what you’re asking.”

“I just meant in general. This is the first time any of us have ever had to deal with this, and we don’t really know what to say or do,” Hale strains out, and I can feel his sympathy pouring out over the phone.

My lips begin strolling over Brazen’s chest, and his hand slides down my back when my breasts press against his stomach. His eyes smile at me, and my lips part as I kiss chest while grazing my teeth over his flesh.

“She’s going to be just fine. We’re going to move out of here after the United Council meets. Under the circumstances, I think it would be best if someone else took on Angelica’s training,” Brazen murmurs, and I smile against his chest while moving to completely straddle his body.

He smirks as he stares at my bare breasts, and my hips begin moving to bring my base closer to his erection that is hiding beneath his boxers.

“Will she want to do that?” Hale asks as if he’s uncertain of Brazen’s choice.

“I don’t speak for her, Hale. I’m just repeating what she has already said she wants to do. You can ask her for yourself if you want,” Brazen says with a devious smirk while handing the phone to me.

I scowl at him, and he jerks me to be under him on the bed as I begin speaking.

“It’s what I want. You can train them like you wanted to do in the beginning. I’m done with the whole thing. Nicholas and she played me like a fool,” I gripe, and then my breath hitches when Brazen’s lips stroll across the apex of my thighs.

I narrow my eyes at him, and his eyebrows dance menacingly as his tongue twists and offers a moan-worthy pleasure against my most sensitive area. His teeth begin to graze it lightly, as he jerks my hips to bring me closer to his face. I gasp lightly, and then Hale’s voice fucks with my moment.

“I’ll take them if that’s what you want, but maybe you should talk to Nicholas. This is a rare opportunity. None of us ever get to learn who our parents are. It could give you some peace.”

“There’s no peace here, Hale. Thank you for taking them, but I have to go right now,” I utter very quickly, and I hang up the phone as my hands tangle in Brazen’s soft hair.

“Damn you,” I breathe, and I feel his smile against me.

The chill of his breath and the ice of his touch mingles in the most erotic way as his teeth graze over me again to push me into my climax a little sooner than I had hoped. My legs tremble lightly, and his lips continue to play in unison with his wickedly fantastic tongue.

I gasp again, and he jerks me even closer to his face as his fingertips dig into my hips. My trembling legs almost convulse as I scream out, and my hand tries to rip his hair from his head once I find the exquisite release.

He smirks as he surges toward me and his lips cover mine. I can feel his smile as his tongue enters my mouth, and then I feel his boxers sliding down just before he thrusts into my shaky body.

“Damn that feels so good,” he moans as he pushes in as deep as he possibly can.

I squirm around him, and his lips tangle with mine as he pulls back to thrust in again. His body firmly gripping me from the inside feels so natural and so fucking incredible as I tighten around him.

“Marry me, baby,” he moans into my mouth as he surges in deeper, and I have to open my eyes to make sure I’m still fucking Brazen considering this is Hale’s ploy - asking me to marry him while fucking.

“Just fuck me,” I breathe into his mouth, and he pounds in harder as punishment for my rejection - I love punishment.

His relentless pounding force overwhelms my senses, and my nails slide up his back as his lips graze my neck. He jerks me over to be on top, and his hands jerk my hips to meet his fucking delicious thrusts.
