Brooks

We’re still okay. Everything is okay now. It will be okay.

I will make it okay.

“Help me turn her around,” I command, overcome with emotion. Rage. Love. Curiosity. The whole world is asleep. The gate is down. My wife is cursed. If this wasn’t literally part of the spell I was planning on casting, we wouldn’t have time to fuck at all. “I want to see her face.” I throw Tanner a look and he nods, helping me flip Kate over so that she’s sitting on the edge of the table. Marlowe takes her boots and pants and bone collar off, and I step into my rightful place between her spread thighs. “How dare you spell me like that.”

“What else was I supposed to do? Talk?” She laughs mercilessly at me, and it feels like we’re playing chess again. And that I’m losing. She’s sweaty and sexy, nipples pebbled on those bouncy tits of hers. “You guys don’t talk. Ever.” She throws out a hand to gesture, but Tanner grabs her wrist for me. I appreciate the precaution. “Instead of chasing me around, you should be trying to fix the gate. Put me in the Witchwoods, so I can’t hurt anyone. So I can’t hurt … you three, mostly.”

She’s adorable.

I punch my hips forward and take her in a single thrust. Kate gasps, throwing her arms around my neck. Tanner lets her go for that one. I appreciate that, too. It’s not just Kate. I have the right coven all-around.

“How?” I inquire dryly, my hands on her ass. Kate’s eyes meet mine, and then lift up to the eye patch on my hat. She frowns, worried about me. “With the power of our entire coven? Even if we wanted to, we can’t fix this shit without you.”

The moment is tense.

Tense.

I’m breathing hard. So is Kate.

We’re having a very serious conversation in the middle of sex.

“You guys think I’m the only one that’s in trouble?” Kate asks, beautiful hazel eyes narrowed on me as I stay sheathed inside of her, unmoving. I want to hump, but I can’t yet. If I start fucking, I’ll stop talking completely.

I cradle her face in both of my hands, holding her tight and peering into her eyes. All I see reflected back in them is regret, sorrow, and love. There’s anger, sure, but it’s a flicker in a much bigger storm.

“If I were you, I’d be angry, too. We fucked up, no doubt about that.” I press my mouth to hers hard enough to hurt, but I can’t help myself. “But so did you.” I pull away, staring at her wet, bruised lips before lifting my gaze to her eyes. “You don’t ever run from us. We’re a coven. Don’t act like you weren’t warned in advance.”

I drop a hand back to Kate’s ass, working myself in and out a few times. Drawing out all the way until I’m only teasing her with the tip. Her breath catches. Kate clings to my shoulders, witch claws cutting into my skin.

“Brooks, please …” Our bare fronts are pressed tight, and I’m in danger of making love to her when she doesn’t deserve it. She needs to understand that we can’t be separated, no matter what. “Please tell me you had a plan. You killed yourself already knowing another way out, and I just screwed up really badly.”

I wrap my arms around her, squeezing a little too tight. Staring at the wings on her back. Brown feathers with white edges. Our coven sigil, in silver and gold, painted across the plumage. A spell. A curse. I can figure this out.

“I won’t tell you that because it’d be a lie.”

A resurrection can only happen in a very small window after death, and I wasn’t risking the chance that we could never bring her back. We were all prepared to pay the ultimate price.

We’re also all glowing. I’m not sure who started glowing first, but it doesn’t matter.

Connection.

We have connection .

“You three are relentless,” Kate howls as I draw away from her, dragging her off the table and shoving her to her knees. My antlered shadow stretches across the ceiling above me, poised and waiting to restrain her if necessary.

“Open your goddamn mouth,” I tell her. We’re not doing this shit. I’m not afraid of her, and I’m not letting her convince herself that she knows better.

She does not.

Kate shakes her head, lips rolled over her teeth, staring up at me defiantly. Her nostrils are flared. Her cheeks are red. That beautiful dual-colored hair cascades over her naked white shoulders and all of that black coven ink. Moons. Stars. Runes.

“When I tell you to open your mouth, you open your mouth. Are you actively trying not to cast the spell that could break this curse and save all of our lives? Don’t be a brat. ”

“We shouldn’t be doing this,” she says suddenly, grabbing onto my hips as her body goes stiff. Our eyes meet again, and I hope she can read my expression properly. I will not take no for an answer. “The hunger, I can feel it. I don’t want to suck your dick: I want to bite your dick off. Didn’t you hear me warn Marlowe?”

“Last chance. Open your mouth or I will open it for you.”

The world is so still and so quiet that it makes the four of us seem loud, the only lifeblood on planet earth and the Witchwoods both.

Kate attempts a coup d’etat, and with her newfound strength, it takes all three of us to keep her on the ground. Marlowe with his arm around her from behind. Tanner’s hands on her shoulders. One of mine on my dick, the other on her chin.

My queen and I, we stare each other down, locked in silent combat.

“Ugh, fine. You want your cock bitten off? That’s your issue.” Kate opens up and takes me so good, all the way to the back of the throat. It takes seconds— seconds —for her to start sucking me greedily. She grabs onto my hips and lets me bury myself deep.

I take my time with her, making her jaw ache. Proving my point. She doesn’t bite my dick off. Oh no. She behaves for me, sucking it nicely, just like I knew she would.

Just before orgasm, I have the boys put her back over the table for me, so that I can finish in her cunt. It’s quick and messy and honestly, pretty goddamn disrespectful. Doesn’t matter. We’re in a hurry here. I spill my seed in her and then pull out before I’m even finished spurting, dirtying her ass a little.

“Seriously?!” Kate is pissed now. Kicking at me when I step aside and nod my chin at Marlowe.

His hat explodes with wildflowers that spill in a wave over one side of the brim, perfuming the room with an intoxicating fragrance. The flowers are bloodred. Their leaves are black. They have thorns.

Marlowe has pits for eyes, and he’s not even a ghost.

“Bad luck,” Marlowe whispers, putting his mouth near Kate’s ear. “Running into me in the woods.”

He’s probably right about that one. Tanner would’ve taken Kate to the cabin to wait her out. I would’ve … treated her as fairly as I treated Tanner.

Marlowe, he saw something he wanted and he took it.
