Thrusting harder, I plow into Connor’s mouth, letting him taste the remains of David’s blood. We’re bound, the three of us, and I won’t have it any other way.

Connor goes rigid and his dick spasms; his climax drives me further. Thrusting into his grip, now wet with his spend, I lose myself in pleasure. For one long moment, I forget everything except the visceral sense of these two men.

Slowly, slowly I come back to earth. I’m on my back and they’re mostly lying on me. The pool deck is rough but I welcome the pain. I’m going to have to tell them about Jacques’ command, but I need time to find a loophole, a way out.

They’re little more than warmth and weight in my arms, familiar, comforting, their scents weaving together like a blanket.

Abruptly, David sits. “What’s that?” he asks, his gaze darting around the area.

“I don’t—” A high-pitched whine interrupts me, and acting on instinct alone, I pull David close and drag them both to the water’s edge. “Breathe,” I yell, and we plunge in.

The explosion rocks us even through the watery buffer. When we surface, there’s a crater in the pool deck exactly where we’d been lying.

We swim to the shallow end, but as we’re climbing out, I hear another buzz, this one more like the whine of a mosquito. I turn, knocking Connor out of the way.

And catch the bullet with my heart.
