Haha! I would like to tell you they are sexy … but I’d be lying. They’re comfy, though. Maya was wearing her favourite pyjamas. Nothing sexy at all — they were pink and black, and had a cute kitten on the front. The kids had chosen them when out shopping with her mum and dad for Christmas presents. Obviously Pierce didn’t need to know this.

Maya liked flirting with Pierce. He appeared to have a similar sense of humour to hers, which she thought was a good thing.

You’re funny. I suppose we should go on a date, shouldn’t we? he wrote.

Maya smiled. If you’re asking?

Yes, I’m asking. Are you free this weekend?

She told him she was, so they swapped mobile numbers and texted one another for a bit longer, making plans for the weekend.

As Maya was getting into bed, her phone pinged. Pierce had sent her another message, with a photo attached. Maya opened it and gasped, but not in dismay. It was a picture showing just his torso, his head cut out, with a towel around his waist. A little suggestive, but tastefully done. He definitely had a great body. Slim built, he had a narrow waist, widening in a V to his shoulders with defined chest muscles and muscular arms.

Giggling to herself, Maya pushed the duvet back and rolled up her pyjama bottoms, taking a photo of her legs from her knees down to her hot pink painted toenails.

Me naked. Not. She attached the photo to her message.

Tease. But I like. Nice toes. Can’t wait to meet them Saturday! Pierce wrote.

I’ll make sure I’m wearing flip-flops.
