Story: Sunflowers and Semicolons (Sunflowers of November Falls #1)
“When do I get to meet Tyler?” Everly asked, walking through my open door and sitting on my futon. “I mean, I do get to meet him, right?”
“I can see if he’s free now,” I said, reaching for my phone and sending him a quick text.
Her eyes slightly widened. “You really must like him.”
I felt a blush creep up my cheeks. “I do.”
My phone vibrated in my hand.
Tyler: Sure, I can come up now
Tyler: I can give you some more research anyway
“He’s on his way up,” I told Everly, putting my phone on my desk. “Be nice to him. Remember, he hasn’t said anything to me, and I don’t know how to bring it up.”
“I won’t scare him away, I promise.”
Tyler knocked on my open door, holding a folder in his other hand. He entered my room, handing me the folder as Everly jumped up from the futon.
“I’m Everly. Longtime best friend and Lexi’s biggest pain, probably. You must be Tyler, her mystery History guy.”
He looked at me with panic in his eyes, and I felt a blush fill my entire face.
I took off my glasses and rubbed my hand over my face. “Ugh, Everly. What are you doing?”
“Leaving,” she said, heading for the door. “Sorry, Tyler. I just had to make sure you weren’t creepy or full of yourself or something. You passed that test don’t worry.”
“You’re making it worse,” I whispered as she walked by me.
She shook her head. “He looks sweet. I like him. And,” she added in a whisper, grabbing my hand. “He’s really cute.”
