Page 12 of Stirring Up Trouble (Saddle Up #1)
Ten
Blaze
Six days after sending Robin away from my office, I was ready to beat my own ass for the foolish decision.
He had been in front of me, wanting and willing, and I had sent him away.
I could say that it was me being noble. That I recognized in him a hesitancy I also felt. Hell, I could play it up any number of ways.
The truth was that Robin made me nervous. He made me crave so deeply, I couldn't see up from down. I wanted to do exactly as Leslie had said and throw up my middle finger to everyone while we ran off into the sunset.
But that wasn't an option for me.
There was too much on the line. So that meant holding back. It meant creating boundaries where I didn't want to just to keep my head on straight.
I laughed to myself. Nothing about the situation was straight.
I was all tangled up wanting him, missing him.
I would still show up wherever he was around the arena, except now it wasn't on accident. Searching him out became a habit. One I indulged in often.
In the evenings, I would watch him at the dinner table. He'd been more reserved, as if taking in everything around him. I felt like it was my fault. That I had somehow dimmed who he was.
At the same time, I knew I wasn't acting on my own. Because had he truly wanted more, he would have pushed to stay. He would have told me he was ready right then and there.
He hadn't though.
Leslie came storming into my office, her face set in a frown. "You need to get your ass out there right now," she said.
I scowled up at her as I flipped through the papers on my desk. I was hiding because I had already searched out Robin four times in the last two hours. The man needed some space from my obsessive ways.
"I'm good in here," I told her.
She shook her head, then put a hand over the pages and pressed them to the desk. "You need to get out there because your boy is looking mighty fine in his jeans and hat. The men are swarming, and the women are damn near fainting."
I was out of my chair before she could finish.
"What do you mean?" I demanded.
“Robin’s getting ready for his event. He's turned more than a few heads with that soft smile of his. I think you might have some competition."
I growled at the thought. I didn't want anyone else to get to him. No one would be able to give him what he wanted.
I wasn't sure how I knew that, but I did.
While I was new to men as romantic partners, I wasn't new to Daddy kink. I understood exactly what Robin wanted, even if he didn't even know himself.
And I would give it to him.
He'd gotten his space.
He'd had time away.
He clearly needed someone to guide him to make the right decisions.
Walking around my desk, I grabbed my hat and slid it on. "Take me to him," I said.
Leslie did a happy dance, then turned and skipped out of the office. I followed her with an eye roll, not wanting to encourage her any further, but amused nonetheless.
It didn't take me long to see what she meant. People were whispering and pointing. Others were flat out stalking him. My boy had a gaggle of admirers around him as he listened to Bobby Allen and Elton give him advice.
I could tell he didn't need it. His confidence was higher than I'd ever seen it. He knew what he was doing. Likely had done it before and was ready to take it on.
As I approached the group, they parted, leaving me to face Robin. I looked him over from head to toe. He shivered, still avoiding my gaze.
"Robin," I said, voice steady as I tried not to give away my desire.
"Yes," he said, eyes still trained on the rope in his hand.
"Which horse are you riding?" I asked him casually as if I were invested in the activity rather than the man.
“Bobby Allen suggested I go with Amber. He said she’s fast and gentle enough for what I need.”
I shoved my hands in my pockets in an attempt to not reach out and grab him. The horse Bobby Allen suggested was fine, but it wasn't the one I wanted him on. It wasn't the one I knew would help him win.
"You should ride my horse, May, instead.”
At that, Robin finally looked at me. His eyes were wide, and his jaw hung open.
I smiled and gave him a nod.
"I'm serious," I said when he didn't speak. The people around us whispered, curious as to why I would ever allow anyone to try to tame my horse. When I said she had a reputation, I meant it. My angel was not up for sharing.
"I can't," Robin said. "She's yours."
I stepped closer to him. “Yeah, she is. But I think she would like to spend some time with you too. Are you afraid of her?”
He quickly shook his head. "No, I've been dying to take her for a ride. I just didn't think you would let me."
I smiled and took the rope from his hands. Then I laced our fingers together and tugged him towards the stall where our girl was.
"Come on. I'm sure she’s missed you."
As I suspected, my girl went crazy seeing him. She stomped in her stall and made sounds of excitement. She was leaning over to us the second she got the chance, ready for pets.
I smiled then, happy to know that I wasn't the only one pining.
It had wound up being just the two of us in the stall when I brought him over to meet with her. I imagine the others didn’t want to risk getting attacked.
There was chatter in the distance as people got ready for what they were going to do. I could tell they were giving us space. Part of me appreciated it and part of me also knew that that meant that there would be more gossip later.
Leslie would get the details and pass them on, I was sure.
Taking a second to gauge where Robin was at, I moved in closer to him again. I pressed my body into his back as he rubbed his hand over May’s forehead.
He shivered as my arm banded around him, pressing against his chest. I leaned my head against his and whispered, "Have you decided?"
I could feel his body vibrating beneath mine. He could barely contain himself. I smiled at his reaction because it gave me the answer I wanted.
He didn't have to speak to let me know he had decided I would be his Daddy.
But I waited for the words anyway.
I wanted him to feel powerful.
I wanted him to feel as if he had made the decision instead of being told.
Despite my earlier thoughts about him needing a firm hand to guide him, I could tell he was just nervous.
When he spoke, his voice was barely above a whisper. "Please, Daddy," he said softly.
“I’ve got you, baby," I said as I pressed a kiss to his neck.
There was a soft whimper as his body went pliant in my arms. I wrapped my other arm around him, holding his waist to keep him upright.
"Easy now," I said. "You have to be ready for your ride."
He shook his head as he leaned back onto my shoulder. “I don't know how I'm supposed to ride in this state.”
His free hand waved towards his crotch. I slid the hand at his waist down to press against it. He turned his face into my neck and moaned against my skin. Then he was panting as I reached inside his pants and tugged gently.
"Is my baby needy?"
He whined again, nodding, his mouth never leaving my skin. If my complexion was any lighter, I knew there would be a giant hickey there.
And I wouldn't have given a single fuck about it.
I gripped him tightly for a moment, staving off what I knew had to be a glorious orgasm heading his way.
"You're going to hold this in for your ride. And when you're done, you're going to come into my office, and I'm going to suck your pretty dick dry. When was the last time you got tested?”
He blinked quickly, as if he didn’t understand the question. I smiled as he managed to confess it'd been recently.
“I’ve got my results on my phone. I don’t want anything between us, baby. Tonight at home, I'm going to bend you over the edge of my bed and fuck you until you can't stand anymore. Understood?”
He whined again before nodding rapidly and pressing his ass back on my crotch. He went even more boneless, feeling my erection pressed against him. I stroked him a couple of more times before pulling my hand free and patting him gently.
"It's almost time, baby," I said, before pressing one more kiss to his forehead and then turning him around.
His pupils were blown, and his body shook in my grasp as he wildly looked me over while licking his lips.
Fuck, he was perfect.
I don't think I'd ever had anyone so obviously want me like he did. I felt empowered, emboldened. I would have given him the world had he asked me in that moment.
Instead, I told him to take a walk while I got May saddled up.
The minute he was gone, my horse pressed her head against my shoulder as if to say, "You fucking idiot, how is he supposed to work in these conditions?"
I chuckled as I stroked her face. "You've got him, May. I know you do. Take care of our boy."
With that, I got to work because I'd be damned if anything was left to chance when it came to Robin.
I'd only just found him. I wasn't going to risk his safety because I was too horny to pay attention.
There was no need to worry.
Robin and May worked together like a well-oiled machine. My babies pulled out the performance of a lifetime. The entire arena was up on their feet screaming when he roped that calf at record-breaking speed.
When he was done, he blushed like crazy and waved to the crowd for a second before turning to give May her praises. She ate up every bit of his attention, even dropping down like she would kneel to him.
That earned them even more applause. People couldn’t believe what they were seeing. For a minute, neither could I.
Then I recalled how smart my horse was. She knew I wanted Robin. Had picked up on it somehow. He was hers now too.
I was waiting for them when they made it back to May’s stall. Several people stopped to congratulate them on the way to me, though I noticed several keeping their distance. Yet another reason I appreciated my girl being a terror up to this point.
“That was a beautiful ride,” I told him as he dropped down out of the saddle.
He blushed and shook his head. “That was all her. She’s got a lot of power underneath her. I was just along for the ride.”
Moving closer to him, I let my desire come through in my voice. “You rode so well. Made me think about other things you can ride, baby.”
“Blaze,” he whimpered in reply.
“That’s not what you call me.”
He froze, eyes widening as he took me in. “I don’t know all the rules. Not the way I think you need me to,” he paused before adding, “Daddy.”
“The only rules are the ones we make. Right now, the one I’m going to insist on is you call me Daddy anytime we’re alone. If others are around, Blaze works just fine.”
“Ok, Daddy.”
I tugged him close, letting him feel how him obeying me made my dick hard. “We’re going to get May taken care of, then I’m taking you to my office like I promised.”
He nodded rapidly, then spun around to face May. “Alright, girl. Let’s get you in order. Daddy and I need some time alone to celebrate, but we’ll be back to love on you later.”
My girl made some noise as if to agree with him. It was the fucking cutest thing. Hopefully the first of many.
I didn’t know how shit would work out, but I’d told Robin he’d be mine if he agreed to this. I planned on keeping my promise.
