Luke nodded. “I wouldn’t be here if that was the case.”

“I know,” I said, grinning at him, glad his sass was back.

Noah stared at the sand and said, “You know what my favorite part of this place is?”

Luke grinned and spoke while staring at the water. “The big black dildo Lorraine likes to shove up your ass?”

Noah coughed, blushing. “Maybe. Not what I meant. I meant you guys. You guys are my favorite thing.” Noah looked up at us. “Of course, I love the pony play and everything. That’s why I came here. But I never expected to meet anyone like Luke. And then I met Jensen. And I think I feel like my life is complete. At least right now.”

“You want a proposal?” Luke asked. “I’ll propose to you right now.”

“What?” Noah said, “No. Fuck off, Luke,” Noah scoffed. “Don’t be an idiot.”

Luke raised his eyebrows. “You think I’m an idiot to want to keep you?”

Noah stared hard at Luke, blinking back emotion, his forehead creased. Probably trying to figure out if Luke was only teasing or being sincere. “What are you saying?”

Luke looked off over the lake, then down at the ground beside the rock where he was sitting. “I’m saying, I’m with you for the long haul. I want us to live together.”

Noah was silent. He looked at me but I was as shocked as he was. And on another level not surprised at all. I smiled at Noah.

Noah stood and walked over to Luke. He leaned on the rock, facing Luke, placing his hands on either side of him, forcing Luke to meet his gaze. “You want to live with me? Really?”

“Fuck, Noah, who wouldn’t want to live with you? You’re quiet and sweet and adorable and sexy as all fuck. You don’t even realize what a catch you are.”

Noah blinked. He licked his lips, looking like he wanted to argue. “But what if we drive each other crazy?”

Luke shrugged. “Then I put a butt-plug tail in you and we do something really kinky and everything will be right again. See?” He tapped his forehead. “Got everything figured out.”

“Yeah, you do,” Noah said softly.

“And if things are really tough, we pack up and come visit Jensen for the weekend. He’ll sort us out.”

I saluted them, showing I was on board.

“Plus, it’ll be easier for us to have kinky phone sex with Jensen if you and I are in one location,” Luke said slyly, glancing over at me.

Noah laughed. “Fine, you’ve convinced me. Like you even needed to. I’ll follow you wherever you go, Luke Weller.”

“Jensen?” Luke said.

“Yeah?”

“You want in on this?” he asked.

“In on what?”

“You want an official part of this three-way here, cowboy? I’m not talking about the sex stuff right now. I’m asking if you want to be our boyfriend. Officially.”

I took off my hat again, turning the weathered brim in my hands, thinking. Trying not to let my emotions lift me into the sky.

“I guess that would be all right,” I said.

I made the statement in a casual way, like I was agreeing to go to a movie or something inconsequential. But when I looked up at Noah and Luke, I knew my eyes shone with emotion and hoped my smile conveyed everything in my utterly claimed heart.
