Around the corner, Sebastian shoved Julian. “I can’t believe you were dumb enough to believe she was into you.”

“You’re one to talk!” Julian rubbed his shoulder, his face twisted, his lips pouting. “You pulled out your driver’s license like she was a cop.”

“How do we know she wasn’t a cop?” Sebastian looked over his shoulder. They were nowhere to be seen, but that didn’t mean anything.

“I’m pretty sure if she was a cop, she would’ve arrested us by now,” Julian said.

Sebastian shook his head. “You don’t know that.”

“She doesn’t have anything, man. That old lady gave us the money and there’s nothing they can do about it.”

“You sure about that?” Sebastian sucked in a shaky breath. “I am not going back to prison over this.”

Julian shook his head. “Me neither.”

“Do we tell Cliff?”

“No, we don’t tell Cliff!” Julian bellowed. “He’s going to hit the roof. He’s going to tell us to give the money back.”

“How much is left?” Sebastian asked.

“What do I look like, a piggy bank? I don’t know, man!”

Sebastian pulled out his phone. “I’m going to call Cliff.”

“Do not call Cliff!” Julian swatted the phone out of his hand.

“What is your problem?”

His arms were raised and his shoulders tense, like he was getting ready to tackle Julian.

Julian put up his hands. “We can take care of this. She has nothing on us. We’ll scare her off.”

Sebastian rubbed his face with his hands. “You think we can do that?”

“Yeah. Easy.” He scoffed. “Besides, she left us no choice.”
