Story: Southwave

MY HEARTBEAT

I was fresh off a flight from Starlight Hills at nine in the evening.

It felt good to be back in Sable Cove a summer later after lying low, and I had only touched down a millisecond prior.

I walked to the blacked-out Rolls-Royce waiting for me on the runway.

It was a usual hot night, so I got in the back of the car and enjoyed the air conditioner.

I sat back and closed my eyes on the short ride to my warehouse, where my car was waiting for me with Tory.

I wanted Southwave to welcome me back, but I needed to see Yummi.

Tory already told me she was still up in Prince Valley and hadn’t been to the city.

He also told me he saw Yummi, and she looked pregnant.

Then recently, she had a baby at the crib, and it might be mine.

I thought dude was talking crazy, but now I was anxious to know what she had going on.

When I got to my warehouse, everything was still intact.

All my guns, all my shipments were counted for.

Tory and Yummi had been holding it down.

I dapped him up, paid him a few stacks, and then walked to my truck that I missed like a muthafucka.

My heart raced as I got in the driver’s seat of my Bentley truck.

I took the long drive to Prince Valley, smoking and thinking. I hoped Yummi hadn’t did the unthinkable and pushed a nigga out of her personal life and I hoped she was still wearing my ring. Even if there was a baby, that didn’t mean she wanted me.

When I got there, Marques was still working. I rolled the window down because he was holding a shotgun at the gate.

“My nigga, Mula Wave. Welcome back. You had a nigga worried.” He dapped me up through the window.

“I know, man. Shit got hectic on my end.. But I heard y'all took care of the streets, and that’s why I’m back.”

“We ain’t lost a soul either. Everybody is still in one piece. After you see ya lady tho’, I wanna get with you.”

“Fasho… It’ll have to be tomorrow or the day after because I’m locked in tonight. I’ma take care of you. I know I owe you a lot of cash.”

“A’ight, man. Yummi been taking care of the tab, but get with me, and congrats.” He nodded his head and grinned at me.

“Fasho.” I looked at him awkwardly, because damn, it must be a baby in the house with her. That had to be why he was saying congrats.

I pulled up to her door, and I stepped out with my carry-on bag.

I sighed deeply before walking up the pathway.

I rang the doorbell after I tried my key fob on the front door, and it didn’t work.

Yummi must have changed the code, and that was cool since I wasn’t around.

Whatever made her feel safe. I stood there for a minute, and then it finally opened by itself.

I had forgotten I had installed touch of a button doors.

When we locked eyes, I felt at ease looking at her naturally beautiful face.

She had her hair in a high straight ponytail, and was wearing a long nightgown, but what had my attention was the baby she had in her arms. He was dressed in a blue Gucci onesie and matching socks.

He had a little blue beanie on his head and a big blue binky in his mouth.

“What’s up, Yummi? Are you gon’ let a nigga in or just stare at me?” I asked as I glared at the lil one in her arms. “Whose baby is that, Solace’s?”

“I’m sorry… I’m just shocked to see you since it’s been so long with no contact. This is your son, Lameek, not Solace’s. I named him Coast Wave.”

I was speechless for a second when I realized everything Tory told me was true, and I was ready to take him into my arms. I was feeling like a lucky man when I laid eyes on Yummi and my son. His eyes looked just like mine.

I wasn’t expecting to come home to a baby, but I was ready to step in and be a father. I scooped him out of her arms and held him close to me as Yummi closed the door. Coast spat his binky out and started crying.

“Oh, you’re a mama’s boy, huh?” I chuckled as I rocked him.

“I’m all he’s had since he was born, so he even cries with my mother,” she uttered bitterly as she tried to give him his pacifier again. She was mad at me; she wasn’t happy to see me.

“Damn, I feel bad I left, and you were pregnant with my kid.”

“It was a hard pregnancy, but he’s healthy and taken care of. Let’s go to my room so you can get comfortable. I’m sure you have a lot to talk about.”

I sighed. “I do.”

“Take off those outside clothes. He has sensitive skin, and I don’t want him breaking out. Your old clothes are in the closet. I moved them here when I cleared out your house in Southwave when your mother asked me to. You had too much expensive stuff to give away or put in storage.”

We walked down the white marble foyer. She had remodeled the house completely, making it look richer than I had it. She turned around, took the baby from me, and we walked up the stairs.

We passed Coast’s room, where lullabies played on the television. We went into the room next to it, which was hers. She left me alone, and I showered. I didn’t bring anything back from Colorado, so I was glad she had saved my clothes.

When I got out of the shower, I brushed my teeth, gargled good, and slapped on some lotion. I put on some boxer briefs, sweatpants, Gucci socks, and slides. I already felt like I was back home, so I kept my shirt off. I wanted to hold my son comfortably.

I went back downstairs and walked through the immaculate house until I found Yummi in the den, which looked like a playroom because toys were on the floor.

She had the baby lying on his stomach with a pillow under him while he watched Mickey Mouse.

Yummi was on the couch with her MacBook Air on her lap.

Spotting me, she stood up and wrapped her arms around me, so I did the same. My hands couldn’t help but explore her through her nightgown. Yummi’s ass was bigger than the last time I touched it, and it felt good.

There were no words spoken in the moment we shared.

She looked up at me and gazed into my eyes before placing her lips on mine.

Our passionate kiss felt like an eternity as my tongue danced with hers.

I felt her heart racing, and so was mine.

Even when our hearts raced, they matched.

Yummi was my soulmate, and I never knew.

It took a tragedy for me to find out that she was the one.

“We have to save that for later when the baby is asleep. But seriously, we need to talk. Where the fuck have you been? Do you know how hard it was without you? I’m happy to see you in one piece, but I’m mad as hell at you.” She pushed me.

“You still wearing my ring, so you ain’t too mad.

Shit got hot in the streets. I’m glad I told you to stay here, too.

I got shot when I took out Hurricane and was put in an induced coma in Colorado.

You see, I lost all my weight, and I’m ready to gain it back.

A lot of bloodshed had to happen before I came back, but everything is good now.

If you want to move back to the land, we can. ”

“I have to think about moving back to the city. I love the vibe here and being a mom now. I want the best for our son, but I’ll give it some thought.

I’m just happy you’re alive and home. I have something to tell you, though.

” She looked at me seriously, and I hoped it wasn’t something I’d be mad at.

“What’s up? Talk to me.”

“I gave Coast your last name, but he might not be yours. He could be Hurricane’s son.”

“What chu mean? He looks like my baby pictures,” I told her as I looked at Coast.

“I know he does, but do you want to take a test so we can know for sure?” she asked innocently.

“Nah, I don’t. That’s my son; I see myself all over him. That Hurricane nigga is in our past.”

“I hear you, but I think we should,” she protested.

I sighed and ran my hands down my face. I didn’t want to go through something that could cause a strain on our family.

“If it makes you feel better, you can test him… but I don’t ever want to know the results.”

“For your sanity, I’ll keep it to myself,” she assured me.

My eyes caught the screen of her laptop, and it was open on a cruise site.

“You trying to make our next baby on that boat?” I smirked.

“Yeah, now that you’re home. I was going to book for me, the baby, Solace, and her kids, just to show our lil’ ones the good life.”

“I can do that for y'all. I owe you the world for having my first son, and I gotta make it up to you for holding me down while I was gone.”

“I would love that, but look who fell asleep that fast without eating? He never does that.”

We looked at Coast, and sure enough, he was sleeping peacefully on his pillow.

“I know he’s going to wake back up in like twenty minutes to eat. But I need you bad right now.”

She climbed onto my lap and pulled her nightgown over her head. Even after the baby, her breasts still sat up from her breast implants. She always told me that it was her best investment. She pulled her panties to the side and took my hard manhood from my boxers and sweats.

“Nah, put that pussy in my face before you slide down on me.”

She snickered and then stood on the couch over me while putting her hand on the window facing the mountains.

I went to work on her clit. She moaned softly as her juices dripped down my chin.

I was hungry for her, and I was going to devour her for days.

I had business to take care of in Southwave, but it was going to have to wait for more than a day.

After she nutted on my face and tongue, she slid down on my dick. We were trying to be quiet, but she was feeling too good, and I knew I was touching her ovaries.

“Let’s go to the living room because I can’t hold back my moans,” Yummi suggested.

I picked her up with my dick still inside her and found the living room. Then, I laid her on the fluffy gray carpet and fucked her good in missionary.

“I’m so happy you’re back. I hope you’re not leaving us.”

“Nah, I ain’t going nowhere for a few days, and I’m happy to be back, too.”

I stayed locked in with Yummi and my son for a week in Prince Valley.

He got used to being around me, and I already loved the bond I was building with him.

There was no doubt about him being mine.

So, Yummi talking about a DNA test wasn’t in my plans, but she wasn’t going to back down for her peace of mind, and I wasn’t going to stop her.
