MINE NOW

“You’ve been real quiet about the robbery since it happened. You feel some kind of way or somethin’?” Hurricane asked, snapping me out my high ass daze.

I had tuned this complaining ass nigga out in yet another meeting he’d called out of the blue.

He had found Coast’s killer, but he still hadn’t figured out who robbed him, and I wasn’t helping.

The way Hurricane moved so wacky, it felt like he’d robbed himself.

Now he wanted everybody to look for some shit that he knew where it was. That was my assumption, though…

“Why would I feel some type of way about a nigga that owes me bread?” I raised my eyebrow and lit my blunt that was still between my fingers.

“What?” Hurricane replied, irate. He was probably embarrassed I’d put our business out in front of our crew for the first time. This nigga owed me so much money, there was no way I could let another dollar accumulate to his debt, and it was time to put the shit to rest.

“You broke and deaf, my nigga?” I frowned.

He laughed awkwardly. “Oh, you want to get into it?!”

“Yeah, I do.” I stood up and pulled my Glock from my waist.

I walked over to his side of the conference table and stood next to him, piercing my eyes on him.

He stood up to face me. Everyone sat around looking on quietly, including Yummi.

I was sick of letting Hurricane play me.

He wasn’t my blood, and the nigga that molded us together was gone.

Now, it was time to expose that he was pussy and who his new opp was.

“You gon’ kill your brother over money or a bitch? Because I know part of this is about Yummi.”

“You know I don’t answer questions, nigga, and you ain’t my fuckin’ brother.

The only brother I had was Coast. You’ve got one week to run all my money, including the million you’ve been owing me.

If you don’t, you know what it is. And as far as your girl, I do want her, and I’m taking her.

Stand up, Yumila, and let's go.” I glared in her direction, where she sat three seats down from Hurricane.

Yummi looked at me nervously.

“What do you mean let's go, Mula?” She fumbled every word.

“I told you when we talked on Coast's birthday that when I was ready, you was gon’ go with me or I was going to kidnap your ass. Now I said, let's go before I turn you into an opp with this nigga,” I gritted through clenched teeth. She didn’t move fast enough for me, so I went to her side and snatched her out of her seat.

“Now, like I said, nigga, you got one week, and don’t flee because you know I will find you. Stand in the paint like a man.”

“You got it right now, nigga, because you got a gun to my face. I’ma get you your money tho’. But stand on that opp shit you talkin’ after I pay you. Yummi loves me; she ain’t gon’ be with you for long. Have fun with my bitch while it lasts. Yummi will forever be mine. Even in death.” He chuckled.

“Whatever you say. Go find my fuckin’ money.” I grabbed Yummi’s hand and left the office.

“Where are we going, Mula, and what’s going on?” she asked as I hit the lock button on the key fob of my new blacked-out Ferrari.

“I’ll tell you everything as time goes by. I’m about to take you to your house, so pack everything you need. You are going to my house in Prince Valley, like I said. You need to get away from this shit for a minute. Shit about to get ugly. It’s gated, and my security got you.”

“You talking like you ain’t gon’ be there with me.”

“I need to focus, Yummi, so you can kill the questions and go with my flow. You trust me, right?”

“Of course.”

“A’ight… Now shut yo’ ass up.”

I started the whip and drove to her crib she shared with Hurricane, so Yummi could pack. While I waited for her, I searched through all of Hurricane’s shit. He had a safe in his big ass walk-in closet, so I took it. The nigga owed me way too much money for me not to rob him.

We were out of the house in ten minutes, and then I drove to The Decks. When we pulled inside, I instructed Yummi that I was going to leave her with my car, and the GPS was set for her destination.

“Do what I say, Yummi. Don’t look back. You’re untouchable once you make this move.”

She nodded with tears in her eyes. “Okay.”

I hopped in the back seat of another car with one of my shooters when we got there and left her.

I had some shit to put in place before I ducked off. I sat in the back in silence, thinking about the war I caused, but I was ready for whatever, even if I had to be the one to die.
