Page 39 of Sour Lollipops and Sweet Nightmares (The Society #1)

Issac

A lpha Lambda had around six parties a year, and for each and every one I did one, of two things.

Locked my bedroom door and spent the night listening to music on my headphones, or I left.

What I didn’t do was play fucking games.

Yet, there I was, following Levi to the back parlor on the second floor.

I blamed Georgia for this shit. If I hadn’t seen her walking around with her ass on display in those jeans, then I would be happily upstairs in my room. I’d be gouging out a lot of eyes tonight, starting with Levi. Motherfucker kept looking over his shoulder and staring at Georgia’s cleavage.

“Hey,” I snapped my fingers at Levi. “Eyes forward.”

“What?” He shrugged. “I’m not the only one looking.”

I was well aware of that. Every guy we passed gawked at her. Even the ones who were afraid of me snuck a peek at her ass.

Giving them all a glare, I tightened my hold on Georgia’s arm and pulled her closer to me.

“Ouch,” she whined. “You don’t have to be so rough.”

My jaw ticked. “You haven’t seen rough yet.”

But she would. I’d make her regret every decision she made tonight, and I’d start by washing that shit off her face. What the fuck was Georgia thinking anyway? Who the hell told her it was okay to leave the house looking like that?

“Where are your glasses?” I thought she needed them to see.

She smiled up at me all sweet and innocent, and sang, “I’m wearing contacts.”

Those were going in the trash. I was the only person who got to see her naked eyes.

“Where did you get those clothes?” They sure as shit weren’t hers.

“Rachel gave me the jeans.”

Who the fuck was Rachel?

“I’m not sure if I like them.” Georgia felt around her hip and down her leg, as if testing the denim fabric. “Do they look okay?”

“No,” I grumbled.

I fucking hated those pants. Mostly because of how much I liked the way she looked in them. I’d been hard from the second I saw her, all dressed up. And her little panic attack didn’t help.

There was something about a distressed woman that got me going, but when Georgia looked up at me with vulnerability in her big green eyes, I almost fucked her right then and there.

But I had to control myself. I couldn’t fuck her yet. There were rules. I had to bend her will and break her before I could have her. There was no rush to do it before. Especially, consider that the longer I took to claim her, the more I could piss my father off.

Now, however, I couldn’t stop looking at her.

It was fucking annoying. Not only that. but I was having urges that I’d never had before, like wanting to punch every motherfucker that looked at her.

I don’t know if my frustration was messing with me, or if I didn’t want the hassle of chasing off some other asshole, but whatever it was, it was pissing me off.

If I could jerk off, then maybe I could relax a bit.

Instead, I was walking around with a perpetual hard-on like a teenager.

Ravi’s addiction to porn wasn’t helping any.

Those bitches and their fake moans haunted my dreams. There was no break from my sexual tension.

Even Georgia’s popped-out pouty lip turned me on.

“You don’t like my pants?”

Why was she whining at me? Didn’t she know how fucking stupid she sounded? “No, I fucking hate those pants.”

And yet she continued to whine. “What’s wrong with them?”

If I shoved my dick in her mouth, would she shut up?

“Don’t listen to Issac,” Levi stopped in front of the parlor door and smiled over his shoulder at Georgia. “I think you look hot.”

I just bet he did. He practically drooled every time he looked at her.

My glare narrowed on Levi. “I will hurt you.”

“You’re just mad that she didn’t call you handsome.”

I was, that was the fucked-up part.

“Oh no.” Georgia sucked in a gasp and slapped her hand on my chest. “I didn’t mean to make you feel bad.”

Really? I did not feel bad.

“It’s just that you are too mean to be handsome. You’re more sexy than handsome.”

That was it, she was not having anything else to drink.

“Are you smiling?” Levi cocked a brow.

I was not smiling. “Are you going to open the door or are we going to stand in the hall all fucking day?”

“Alright, alright.” Levi rolled his eyes and opened the door.

There was a total of seven people in the room, all of whom I knew in one way or another.

Ravi and Jerry were over by the bar, pouring themselves drinks of what looked like gin or vodka. Zoe and Layton Van Houten were looking as pompous as ever on the brown leather couch in the middle of the room.

Next to Layton was his on-and-off again girlfriend, Stacy. In the right corner of the room, thumbing through a magazine was Zoe’s best friend, Ginny, and finally seated in the wingback chair next to the couch was Kash fucking Murphy.

“Seriously?” I growled at Levi.

“Oh, did I not mention that Kash was here? It must’ve slipped my mind.” He shrugged.

Slipped his mind, my ass.

“Alright,” Levi called out while walking into the room. “I brought people as requested.”

“Issac,” Zoe rolled her eyes from me to Levi. “Really, that’s who you brought?”

Did I mention that Zoe was a complete and utter cunt?

“Zoe,” I nodded at her. “Always a pleasure.”

I hated her almost as much as I hated her brother.

Layton gave lazy entitlement a whole new meaning.

He expected everything handed to him on a silver platter.

The guy didn’t have an original thought in his head.

Maybe if he didn’t have his dick shoved so far up his sister’s ass, he’d be able to think for himself.

“Stop complaining,” Ginny waved her hand at Zoe. “You were the one who wanted two more.”

No one in this room was as evil as Ginny Thomas. That girl was a demon in six-inch stilettos. However, she was a fun fuck.

Kash narrowed his eyes in our direction and tipped his head. “Georgia?”

She smiled and waved, “Hi.”

“Don’t wave at him.” I yanked on her arm, pulling her closer to me.

“Hey!” Kash shot out of his chair. “Don’t tell her what to do. Are you okay, Georgia?”

This mother…

“Did I say you could talk to her? How many times do I have to tell you, Murphy?” I puffed my chest out and stepped forward. “She’s mine.”

“You guys aren’t going to fight again, are you?” Georgia asked. “’Cause if you are, I’m gonna need more of that juice.”

And just like that, Georgia Pyne became the object of Zoe Van Houten’s fascination. Her eyes lit up as they went from Kash to me and back again. But it was the smile that curled her lips when she looked over at Georgia that told me my night wasn’t going to get any better.

“Georgia, is it?” Zoe asked, way too sweetly. “Do you know how to play truth or dare?”

That was the game Levi brought us here for? I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised. If anything, I should be worried. Things like truth or dare with this crowd were not friendly games. They were spiteful mind-fuckeries meant to tear each other down.

“I know the basic premise,” Georgia said. “If you pick truth, you have to tell the truth. If you pick dare, you have to do the dare.”

“That’s right, but you can only pick truth twice before you have to take a dare.” Zoe patted the empty cushion beside her. “You can sit over here with me.”

Georgia may have been tipsy, but she wasn’t stupid. She saw right through Zoe’s fake smile. “Thanks, but I think I’ll stay with Issac.”

I smiled at Kash. That’s right motherfucker.

When Zoe shot Georgia a glare, she grabbed onto my arm and stepped in closer to me.

My brows furrowed down at her. Was I her protector in this situation? Clearly, she wasn’t as smart as I thought. Even Ravi cocked a what the fuc k brow at me while he made his way over to the middle of the room.

Kash, on the other hand, was not impressed. He glared at me as I led Georgia over to join the rest of the group. I happily glared back at Kash as I pulled her down next to me on a vacant loveseat. His jaw ticked as he sat back.

I was starting to get annoyed with that guy. He was everywhere lately. Kash and I had been part of the same fraternity since freshman year, and I’d seen him more in the past two days than I had in four years.

“You got a fucking problem, Murphy?”

I’d happily go another round with him if that was what he wanted.

“If Georgia weren’t here, I’d show you just how much of a problem I have.”

“Or,” Zoe interrupted. “You two can measure your dicks later and spin the bottle now.”

“I’ll spin the bottle,” Georgia volunteered.

Zoe waved for her to go ahead, and for the first time, I was kind of looking forward to this game. I could learn a lot about Georgia by how she played.

She stood up, reached out, and gave the empty wine bottle a spin. It twisted on the carpet and slowed down to point at Ravi.

“Alright, Sunshine, truth.”

I wasn’t surprised that was what he picked. Everyone picked truth the first round. That and Ravi also hated this game. Normally, he would’ve been down in the middle of the party hunting for a plaything for the night, but since he also couldn’t fuck anyone, he was stuck here with us.

Georgia took a minute to think, then asked, “Why did you really give me my stuff back?”

Clever girl.

“I wanted to piss off Issac.”

That was a short and simple version. Ravi’s motives were much deeper than that. But that answer worked.

“Why would you want to make Issac mad?” Georgia asked. “He’s your friend.”

“Sorry, Sunshine,” Ravi winked at her. “Your turn’s over.”

With that, he reached out and flicked the bottle. What everyone else—aside from Levi—in this room didn’t know was that Ravi’s enhanced agility allowed him to make sure the bottle landed on exactly who he wanted it to. So, I wasn’t surprised when it stopped on me.

“Truth or dare, Issac.” He smiled.

Son of a bitch. If I picked truth, he was going to ask me some fucked up shit. The bastard knew me too well to risk that. Leaving me with only one option.

“Dare.” Prick.

“I dare you to have Georgia sit on your lap for the rest of the game.”

Oh, I see, he wanted to die tonight.

“Don’t I have to agree to that?” Georgia interjected.

“You agreed to play the game, didn’t you?” Levi countered.

“Fine.” I hissed and pulled Georgia onto my lap.

Her entire body immediately stiffened. The tension radiating off her didn’t bother me at all. I liked making people uncomfortable, and Ienjoyed making her feel that way. I might’ve even pushed her buttons until she snapped, if frustration wasn’t tensing up my body.

Georgia kept shifting around nervously, making it impossible for me to concentrate on anything. I couldn’t hear anyone speak or see the bottle spin as the game carried on.

The only thing that existed at this moment in time was Georgia’s ass rubbing against my cock. It didn’t help that my closeness had seemingly caused her to sober up. So, not only was she moving around on my lap, but she was also trembling. I could smell the fear coming off her.

“Truth or dare, Georgia?” Zoe asked.

My fingers dug into the cushion as her hips shifted, and she said, “Truth.”

A smile spread across Zoe’s face. “Who would you rather kiss, Issac or Kash?”

“I don’t know.” Georgia’s cheeks flushed with embarrassment. “I’ve never kissed anyone before.”

That not only got Kash’s attention but mine as well. I knew she was a virgin, but I had no idea that she was that innocent. I expected the lust on Kash’s face—his nickname was cherry picker after all—but the flush of need that coursed through me was not. I wanted her more now than I did before.

“That’s not an answer,” Zoe argued. “You have to pick one.”

If she said Kash’s name, I was going to gut the bastard right here.

“The game is Truth or Dare,” Georgia reiterated, emphasizing the word truth. “And the truth is that I don’t know. If you don’t like that answer, I can’t help you, and if you want me to lie, then we should be playing a different game.”

Layton, Kash, Stacy, and Ravi snickered, Levi muttered a ‘damn’, and Ginny looked over at Georgia for the first time since we walked in the room.

There was something supremely sexy about the way timid little Georgia Pyne put queen bitch Zoe in her place.

The only person who wasn’t impressed was Zoe.

“Alright then…” Zoe sat up with her eyes locked on Georgia. “Let’s play a different game.”

That wasn’t a suggestion. It was a challenge. Zoe’s favorite pastime was crushing people’s spirits, especially if said person dared to stand up to her. Most girls backed down when confronted with that look on her face that said, ‘I’ll eat you for breakfast .’

But not Georgia.

She sat up, crossed her arms, and said, “Fine. What game did you have in mind?”

“How about… Seven Minutes in Heaven?”

Georgia suddenly didn’t seem so sure of herself. “Is that the one where you have to go in the closet with someone for seven minutes?”

“That’s right. Why?” Zoe shot her a fake frown. “Is the virgin too afraid to play?”

“I’m not afraid.” Georgia insisted, even though I could feel her trembling.

“Good. Then you won’t have a problem spinning the bottle.”

No one said a thing as Georgia’s eyes went from the bottle to Zoe and back again.

I watched her waiting to see what she would do.

Zoe just called her bluff. So would she admit defeat and back down, or would she continue her facade of bravery?

This moment would give me some insight into how hard it would be to break her.

“Come on,” Zoe sang when Georgia didn’t move. “We’re waiting.”

“That’s enough,” Kash piped in. “Leave Georgia alone.”

Both Zoe and I swung our glares his way, but Georgia stood up before either of us could say anything. “I don’t need your help, Kash.”

For some reason, Georgia looked uncomfortable and bit insulted that Kash stood up for her. Hadn’t anyone ever stood up for her before? I didn’t know much about her past. There were no pictures of Georgia engaged in activities in school yearbooks.

She didn’t have social media or any friends that I could find. It was just her and her mother. But why? Georgia didn’t have the meekness of someone who had a history of being bullied. So, why didn’t she have anyone?

Georgia huffed out a breath, muttered, “It’s just a game.” Then she got off my lap and spun the bottle.

It spun around, clinking on the table as the neck slowed down and came to a stop, pointing directly between Kash and myself.

“Look at that.” Zoe let out a laugh. “You have to choose after all.”
