Rivern
S he is everything I didn’t know I needed.
The idea of us becoming fully bonded sets everything within me flaming, and I cannot hold my arms back from their explorative groping of her body.
Each moment I spent with Dove plastered against my body while we were riding Mage deeper and deeper into the forest away from Haven filled me with a need, a feeling I can’t describe—something I have never felt before.
She slept, and I clutched her to me like she was the sweetest of all the prizes. One I will never let go. The thought of being away from her rips through my very framework.
She is mine, and that wolf will have to kill me before he ever gets to her.
When she mentioned the possibility of her not making it to Terra to teach my people the song, I lost it.
The bond screamed, and my emotions rioted against the notion that she would not make it to Terra.
So, I kept her close.
I continue to keep her close.
Even when I was off looking for food, I kept my heart alert to the feelings she unintentionally leaked through our bond.
I have heard there is a way to control what you feel down the bond, but that takes a skill that only fae hold.
And when I heard the splashing of the water and saw her silken hair bobbing around her head, the last of the suns’ shine lighting her beauty up, my resistance to her snapped.
I wanted to feel her, touch her, know what it was like to have her creamy, soft skin rub against my hard edges and hear her sounds of ecstasy as I thoroughly satisfied her body.
My guard lowered when I admitted I wanted her to be my princess. I desperately want her to stay, but—
Thinking about home and what is expected of me is no longer an option. Not when I have a queen of my own to bow before.
I can deal with Terra when we arrive there.
Now, I will dream and be with my bonded.
Because I can feel something off with her. I want to dig and explore every corner of her mind, but first, I want to explore her body.
Trailing my right hand up her delicate skin, I linger my fingers on the back of her neck before softly grasping her chin and moving it upwards so her eyes find mine.
Emerald pools of forever look intently back at me.
“You are mine, Dove,” I growl, nudging my nose into hers and grinding my hardened cock against the soft curves of her belly.
With a swift movement of my left hand, I effortlessly lift her up on my torso so I can wear her around my waist like the most precious adornment I can ever hope to enjoy.
As I travel my nose up and down hers, her eyes begin to flutter. “Say you are mine.”
Her whole being trembles at my command. My cock jerks, trapped between our bodies as she moves against me in the scorching water, our bodies dripping with sweat and lake water.
“Rivern—I…” Dove starts shaking her head, but before she can tear her nose from mine, I grip her hair in a firm hold and keep her face firmly plastered against my own.
“Say it.” My voice is gruff and commanding, almost unrecognisable to my ears. I have never been like this with another before.
The consumption I feel for her is so unnatural, yet so right. Her desire is my aphrodisiac. She’s my beacon in the dark.
The bond presses our naked chests together, the feel of her breasts against mine the most sinful of allures as hardened nipples pierce my skin. This female could simply bend over, fully clothed, and I would get hard.
In fact, the whole horse ride, I’ve been hard. The pressing of our bodies was all the bond needed to start releasing my seed and her juices.
She did not say a word the whole ride, but I smelt her something fierce. Caramel honeysuckle. A meal fit for a prince. The same smell finds my nose now as I thrust my body against hers, making large ripples glide around us.
Fuck, I am a goner to her. Nothing can compare to my bonded. My mate.
With our lips almost touching, I breath tenderly over them. “Say it, Princess.”
All the air leaves her lungs, and those dark green circles meet mine. “I’m yours.”
On our lips, worlds collide as we finally join as one.
Her hints of honey and my sunshine dance on our tongues within the safety of each other’s mouths. She explodes all of my walls, nestling herself firmly into my heart.
Both of my hands find her hair, and I weave my fingers through each of the strands. Following suit, her fingers find my bronzed strands, pushing my head down for more, more, more.
The water around us starts to crackle and pop, and fearing for her delicate human skin, I walk us out of the now-scathing heated lake, lips still locked, and lay her body on the makeshift bed of leaves I prepared earlier.
This is not what I had in mind when I made this bed for us, but it is certainly not unwelcome.
She clings to my shoulders and waist, exploring all the edges of my mouth and I hers as we rub and grind on each other to vent some of the inferno started in the lake.
Suddenly, two small, delicate hands push at my chest, and I listen to my mate’s cue by dismantling my lips.
We both breathe heavily into the small space. “We cannot bond here,” she huffs out, looking thoroughly dishevelled with reddened lips and flushed cheeks . Utter perfection.
Giving her space, I shift onto my elbow and lie next to her.
“When we are in Terra?” I look expectantly down at her, and she nods. I’ve never needed something so much from anyone before, but I don’t want to pressure her. I will not be that person to my mate.
It feels like the first time all over again. My nerves almost take hold like I’m sixteen with a crush, dreaming of returned affection as I gaze adoringly down at her.
Sensing my apprehension, Dove shifts on her side and grips the side of my face with her palm. “Thank you,” she says. I look down at her, confused, and she gives me a timid smile, even though we are completely naked next to one another. “For listening to me.”
Her words strike me, and the bond tells me more than I care to feel about the agony in her heart.
“I will always listen to you, Princess Dove.” Running my hands up her naked thigh and hip, I find her hair, twirling it around in my hands, languidly taking in every inch of her honey smell, her enchanting eyes and her perfect heart.
We kiss until the light is fully gone, and only the moon illuminates us.
