“I’m glad I’m here, too.” Jake crossed the room and slid his arms around her waist. He worried she’d pull away, but she leaned into him. It encouraged him to hold her closer. Then he lifted her hair from her neck and kissed just under her ear as he inhaled her peachy scent.
