“I don’t know,” she mumbled.
I jerked out of her, taking in her naked and totally restrained form.Shit!I untied her wrists, but she stayed still, rooted to the floor. Grabbing the throw from the edge of the bed, I draped it over her shoulders before getting up and adjusting my pants, trying to ignore the blood on my cock.
A virgin.
I hurried over to the liquor cabinet, grateful I had installed it when I started spending more time at the penthouse. I quickly poured myself a drink and downed it, knowing the sting of the alcohol in my throat wasn’t strong enough to dull this mess.
How had I misread this situation? I assumed she had gotten her brother out of trouble by using her beauty and body before. Why would she trade herself to save him if she had never had sex? Why would she choose someone like me?
When I turned to face my indiscretion, she was still where I had left her, looking down at the hardwood planks. The cold, unforgiving floor that I almost fucked her against.
“Are you angry?” she whispered.
I poured myself another drink, analyzing my emotions and forcing myself to get it together.
“Angry?” I asked. “I’m fucking furious.”

Sable
This was nothow I saw my first time going.
I had gotten myself into the wrong situation with the wrong man. As Milo stared me down with his irresistible, icy blue eyes and brooding jawline, I couldn’t look away. Even knowing deep down in my soul we were headed for disaster.
He took a long sip of his drink, eyeing me from the rim of the glass. I covered myself in the throw and leaned against the foot of the bed. I had never felt this vulnerable before.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” He slammed the glass on the dresser, causing me to jump. “Didn’t you think that was an important detail?”
“I thought I could do it, but when you wouldn’t untie me, I panicked and…”
“Secrets will not work between us.” He threw his hand in the air. “Not ever.”
“It’s not that I don’t want to be with you.” Why did this have to be so humiliating? “Can’t you tell by the way I respond to your touch? Your kiss?” I pulled my knees into my chest. “I’ll fulfill my end of the deal, but you have to be a little patient with me.”
“I can be a patient man when I have to be, but usually not when it comes to sex. I don’t like being blindsided either.”
“Oh.” I had seen comments girls left about him on social media. Most responses indicated that these women were willing to do anything he asked. I got the feeling a lot of them had.Look at him. Who wouldn’t bend to his will?
I’d bend any way he wanted me to…
“What have you been doing all this time?” He joined me on the floor. “Where have you been hiding?”
“I’ve been mostly surviving.” I swiped the hair from my face, daring not to look at him. How could I after what just happened? “I’m not doing a very good job.”
“I don’t understand how you got yourself into this situation.”
“You were right there with me.”
“I know how you ended up here.” He clenched his fists. “What I don’t get is why you would offer yourself up in the most intimate way if you had never had sex before.”
That was a valid question, but I didn’t even have the answer to it.
“It all happened so fast, but you saved Chance, and that’s what you wanted from me.” I shrugged. “I’m not proud of myself, but a deal is a deal, and I entered into it, so…”
It wasn’t as if having sex with him was some kind of hardship. He was fucking hot, dangerous, and should have been off-limits because of what I knew about him. But here Iwas some sort of half-virgin, sitting naked on his floor, trying to explain why I bartered my body to save my brother.
Beyond ridiculous.
