He was the one who wanted that little piece of shit, Mazda. I don’t know what the fuck he was thinking.
I also knew that he was having doubts about it.
However, where he was having doubts about it, I wasn’t having doubts about something I did later in the week.

I sighed as I mentally ticked off another thing Agatha had on her list.
Thankful at this point to have a photographic memory.
Therefore, I didn’t have to look like a dumbass pulling the paper out every few seconds.
Once I was sure that I had everything she had asked for, I loaded the rest in the truck and headed to the clubhouse.
Hours later, the clubhouse was decorated, and all of us were mentally cursing Agatha out in our heads for the instructions she had blasted at us.
Threatening that if we didn’t listen, we wouldn’t be eating that night.
Thankfully, there was always Wilson’s. But he stopped serving at eleven at night.
And sadly, that meant that I wouldn’t get to seeher.
Theherin question, I knew her name was Ophelia.
I knew that she was a single mother.
And I knew that her voice... fuck, but it could launch a thousand hard-ons.
‘Every sunset is an opportunity to reset. Every sunrise begins with new eyes.’

Chapter 3
Ophelia
The first four weeks in our new home went like this.
We were able to find some brand-new mattresses that a store was tossing because there was a slash in the materials on the sides.
Sheets would be covering that, so I wasn’t worried about it.
At Goodwill, we were able to get pots, pans, cups, and plates, and at the dollar store, we were able to get everything else.
The woods behind the house had helped a lot.
Because every evening, we had a fire in the fireplace if the blankets we had didn’t keep us warm.
And thanks to our neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Robbins, Mr. Robbins had come out while I was chopping wood and damn near chewed my head off for doing it.
Therefore, he took over for me, and the way he asked me to pay him back, I chuckled at it every time I thought about it.
Letting him spend time with Soraya.
In front of me, of course.
Mr. and Mrs. Robbins were never able to have children.
