Page 74 of Rogue's Path
Don’t scream.
Maybe you’re overreacting. Your mind is playing tricks on you, just like it did last night. These could be from Rogue…the scoundrel and not your stalker.
You’re completely under the radar. There’s no way he could find you here.
“Aren’t they pretty?”
They’re causing me some pretty intense heart palpitations.
“I’ll just take these—” She grabs the pile I set on the edge of the table. “While you read the note in private.”
Privacy is the last thing I want.
The very last thing. If these are from my stalker—what do I even do? I reported the last ones and got nothing.
They’ve got to be from Rogue. Or maybe Bear ordered them before he met Cordelia. Bear is definitely the type to send a woman flowers the next day.
That’s got to be it.
Bear sent me flowers that I should probably give to Cordelia.
My hand won’t stop shaking as I reach for the card.
My dearest love Dylan,
He found me…
Reaper
Rogue
With Rhys safely sitting next to Havoc and Creed, I’m hanging in the back waiting for one of the three kids to message me. Reaper’s bike never moved this morning. He didn’t follow the hearse with the rest of his club.
He’s up to something. I haven’t heard a single word of the service, waiting for my phone to vib—There it is.
I slip out the doors and walk to a secluded area. “What’s he doing?”
“Reaper took a small packet out of the woman’s bag and stuck it in his pocket. Now he’s trying to break into the sector where Rhys is housed. Should we go grab him?” Torque asks.
Those three stand zero chance against Reaper. “No. Let him in. Make him think he was able to break past our security.”
“What?”
“Just do it.”
“Vandal. Rogue said to let him in, but make sure it looks like we don’t know about it.” Torque repeats my instructions.
“On it,” Vandal says.
Waiting isn’t fun.
We overflowed the parking lot and most of the street with bikes. You’d think it was a rally.
Dylan at a rally is going to be an adventure. Will she start a bar fight or be intimidated by everything?
“He went straight to her room, and we lost feed.”
There was no way I was putting cameras in Rhys's room. I value my life too much to explain that to her husband.
