Page 75 of Right Where I Belong
“Oh, beautiful!” He lifted her hand to his lips, letting his mouth linger against her skin, enjoying her sharp inhale. “You just made my day! Now I can’t wait to get you alone!”
His mind flooded with a hundred different ways he was going to make her his again.
She laughed, tapping his temple. “Stop all those naughty thoughts flowing through your head.”
“I can’t!” He smiled, loving how she read him so easily. “My imagination is running wild, and it’s all your fault.”
A smile played on her lips. “I also need to tell you something important when we’re alone.”
He arched a brow. “Important? Tell me now?”
She chuckled. “Don’t be impatient.”
“Now I really want to know.”
“Patience, Adi. You really need to wait till we’re alone,” Sabrina teased.
Curiosity made his heart pound faster. What did she want to tell him? Was she finally ready to admit what he too felt for her? Could that be it? He knew she cared for him. But love? God, he hoped it was that. Tonight, when they were finally alone, he didn’t just want to make love to her, he wanted to tell her thathe loved her and that he wanted to be with Ahaan and her as a family.
Yes, he was going to propose to her tonight, and he hoped to God she’d agree.

Aditya rolled the car into the stadium complex toward the VVIP entrance, where he handed the vehicle to a waiting valet. Sabrina stepped out and watched as Ahaan came to stand between Aditya and her, his eyes bright as he looked around.
Dozens of people milled about in blue India tees, some with faces painted in the tricolor. The air buzzed with chants, horns, and the steady hum of excitement.
Ahaan touched Aditya’s arm. “This is so cool.”
“It is,” Aditya smiled.
Over his head, Aditya’s eyes met hers.
“Thank you,” her eyes darted around. “The energy is so infectious. I’ve never watched a match in a stadium before.”
His brows arched. “I’ve heard Rithwik often mention he’d taken Ahaan for a match. Did you never go?”
“No.”
“Then let’s make it a night you will never forget.”
They moved forward, then turned to the right. Ahead, a swarm of photographers clustered near the barriers, cameras flashing as they shouted questions at the VVIPs arriving one after another.
Aditya swore under his breath. “Oh, damn, I forgot this is the press entrance.”
Sabrina’s steps slowed, until they halted. Fear flickered in her chest, and her stomach clenched. Aditya’s lips parted, but before he could say a word, she shook her head quickly, stepping back, tugging Ahaan with her, shielding him from sight.
“I can’t be—” she began, but the next second the horde of reporters was on their side. Cameras flashed, shutters clicking in a frenzy. Reporters surged forward, mics extended, voices rising in a barrage of questions.
Taking Ahaan, she backed a few more steps. As if sensing her discomfort, Aditya walked quickly ahead.
“Mr. Wahi! Over here!”
“Aditya! What do you think of India’s chances tonight?”
“Aditya, are you here with someone?”
Questions flew fast. She watched him answer the press with cool indifference. God, they were relentless in how they queried him, demanding answers, clicking his pictures.
