THIRTY-THREE

SASHA

I stood against the boards next to the open gate where Hawk lay watching the team practice. For most students, Thanksgiving week meant a long weekend with several days off, filled with food, family, and holiday shopping.

Not for collegiate hockey players, though.

We played on Friday and Saturday. I checked the clock on the scoreboard.

The team from Alaska flew in later today.

I didn’t know if or how they were planning to celebrate the holiday, but my guys were spending the holiday in the arena, cooking, hanging out, watching football, and playing video games.

At thirty-five years old, I shouldn’t be jealous of a bunch of twenty-somethings, but I was. And for more than one reason. I wanted to spend the holiday with Aiden, and the team’s idea seemed like the best holiday ever.

I could cook for myself, but cooking a huge meal without anyone to share it with sounded depressing, so I avoided it. As an only child of two only children who were also only children, holidays lost their meaning when my parents died, my first year in the league.

My teammates had been awesome, and I usually spent the holidays with one of them and their families.

Since the injury, Hawk and I picked up takeout or steaks and vegged on the couch in front of the television.

We’d take a hike around the lake, but really, it was just the same as any other day.

I didn’t mind the schedule we had for the weekend, but I knew others didn’t feel the same way.

Glancing around the rink, the guys were laughing and joking, but still going through practice and giving it, if not their all, at least ninety percent. It was a holiday weekend. They couldn’t go home. We were fifteen games in with two losses. Everyone needed a break. Not much of one, though.

The shrill peel of my whistle cut through the sound of skates carving up the ice, sticks smacking pucks into the boards and net, and the heavy breathing and shouts of a team working like a well-oiled machine.

“Alright, everyone. That’s it. Bring it in.”

The world in the rink stopped spinning.

“Coach, is everything okay?” Malachek asked, looking between me, the other coaches, and his teammates.

“Yep. I thought I’d be nice and give you guys the rest of the day to yourselves. Coaches included. As long as everyone is here bright and early Friday.”

No one moved.

“Or we can always keep practicing. ”

“See you Friday, Coach!” rang out from several players along with the coaching staff as everyone scrambled off the ice.

Hawk got plenty of love from the guys passing by him. Gone was the dog who’d stoically been watching a bunch of guys skate around a hockey rink. It was his turn, and he knew it.

Julie told me Hawk would be fine when I called her about taking the job. I was happy when Hawk proved her right. He loved it here, and the team took to him. A relaxed and playful Hawk made my day.

With all the team gone, I stepped through the gate myself. “Let’s get your booties.”

Aiden came back out of the tunnel. He’d been one of the first off the ice.

“I got them, D… ummm… Coach,” Aiden said, his eyes widened at the near slip before turning slightly glassy.

He swallowed, then knelt in front of Hawk, who stood right in front of me.

“There you go, Hawk,” Aiden said as he fastened the last booty on Hawk’s feet.

I’d been holding it together, barely. Fuck me… the boy… my boy was on his knees looking up at me. He had chewed his lips while playing, leaving them wet and puffy. Just like they were after I fucked his gorgeous face until tears rained down his face.

Clearing my throat, I croaked, “Thank you, Mercer.”

His head swiveled before saying, “You’re welcome.” He paused, then mouthed, “Daddy. ”

Lust rolled through my body, leaving me a shaken mess as I trembled in my hockey skates. I watched him stand, my mouth both watering and dry at the same time. His tongue traced his lips sending blood rushing to my already throbbing cock.

“Fucking hell.”

Aiden stood, his eyes laser-focused on mine. The steel gray gaze burned red hot. “Meet me…”

“The team…”

“I don’t care. I need you.”

“What do you need?”

“I need you. In me. Over me. Whatever. I’m not picky as long as the two of us are naked, getting our jollies off.”

“I like the way you think.”

“You like more than that, Daddy.”

“Yo! Mercer! Get your ass in gear. We’ve got thirty-six hours to get drunk and laid before we have to…

” Isaiah, or maybe it was Isaac, Huston yelled.

You couldn’t tell them apart unless they were shirtless.

One had a chest full of ink and the other didn’t.

But I could never remember which was which. Luckily, on the ice, they wore numbers.

“Oh! Sorry, Coach, I didn’t realize…”

“What was it you were saying about the next thirty-six hours, Huston?”

“Nothing, Coach. Nothing at all.”

“That’s what I thought. ”

I waited for him to leave, but he stood stock still. Waiting for Aiden, if I had to hazard a guess.

“Mercer, I’ll think about that play you mentioned and get back to you.”

His back faced Huston, hiding him smirking and licking his lips, while his eyes fell to my crotch. He bit his lip, then said, “Thanks, Coach. I’m sure the play will get us where we want and need to be.”

God fucking damn.

“I’m sure it will,” I replied. “You guys have fun. Keep each other safe and out of trouble.”

“Will do, Coach!” Huston yelled, grabbing Aiden by the arm and dragging him away. His eyes still burned with need, making me want to strip him bare and fuck his tight little ass raw.

Raw.

Fuck my boy raw and breed his ass until my cum ran out of his hole, coating his thighs. A deep shiver of need surged through me, shaking me to my core. That little exchange just now edged too damn close to something we knew damn sure we shouldn’t… couldn’t do.

Hawk whined next to me. I shoved away everything else, squatting down to Hawk’s level. I ruffled his fur, dropping my forehead to his while my cock protested and begged me to chase down Aiden and bury myself balls deep.

“You ready to play, buddy?”

Hawk’s bark echoed across the ice and empty rink. I stood, grabbing the bucket of toys Elliott Nichols kept under the bench for Hawk. Elliott surprised me at every turn. He put every equipment guy I’d ever met to shame. He anticipated our needs and wants almost before we even realized we had them.

I tossed a few of the pucks out onto the ice. Hawk sat next to me, waiting patiently. When I stepped on the ice, Hawk followed. I lined up on a puck and smacked it.

“Go get it, Hawk!”

He shot forward, his tongue lolling out of the side of his mouth as he chased after the puck.

I spun around, skating laps around the rink first one way, then the other, repeating the motion forward and backward.

Hawk took the cue, chasing me. He ran circles around me on dry land, but on the ice, I stayed with him.

We were still playing when the guys from the team and the coaches finished changing and left with a wave. Once the building went silent, except for Hawk’s happy yapping and panting, I skated over to the bench to look at my phone.
