Page 94 of Rev
Her eyes darken, heat. She bites my lower lip. “Promise?”
And I’m about to do exactly that when there’s a knock at my door. Three sharp raps.
I growl. “Fuck.”
She lifts up, slides my cock out of her, biting her lower lip as I slip free. Dots a kiss to the tip of my nose. “I’ll clean up. You see who that is.”
She rolls off me and traipses naked to my bathroom, and god, what a view, that beautiful bubbly ass shifting and jiggling, those big tits swaying into view on either side of her ribs. If I didn’t know exactly who was on the other side of the door, I’d tell ‘em to fuck off and I’d take her in the bathroom, up against the vanity.
As it is, I know that knock. And there it is again, three sharp raps, impatient. “Rev.” Inez.
Dammit, just what I need, like a blast of cold water on my buzz.
I step into my shorts and yank open the door. “What?” I snarl it, deeply unhappy at the intrusion.
“Rev, we spoke of this.” She’s in her uniform, a dark pantsuit, white blouse, sensible pumps. “She’s not allowed down here. You’re putting her and yourself at risk.”
“Inez, I…” What do I say? I don’t have a good answer.
Before I can, I feel Myka’s small warm hand on my back, and then she pushes past me and stands between Inez and me. She’s wrapped in a towel, clutching it at her chest. Her hair is loose, wild, just-fucked hair.
“Excuse me.” Her voice is…I don’t know about angry, but tight. Displeased. “You’re treating him like a child.”
“Miss Donovan, this doesn’t really—”
“Rev is a grown man. He lives here. I understand he got that barbaric tattoo brand and swore an oath to the other men. I know I don’t and can’t understand what all that entails, but—”
“No, you can’t, and what’s more—”
Myka cuts off Inez—interruptsInez. “My point, Inez, is that there is absolutely no reason I can’t be here. If you’re worried I’m going to, what? Tell someone? Who would I tell? The only people I know in this city are in this room—you, Rev, Kane, the others. Ingo, I suppose, but he’s got nothing to do with this, and he’s the most aloof person I’ve ever met. I was here once already and told no one. Your secret commando lair is safe with me.”
“That’s not—”
“I’m not done.” She steps forward, into Inez’s space; Inez hisses a surprised breath and takes a step back. “I know Rev has enemies, as he calls them. He’s made itveryclear that spending time with him poses a risk to me. I understand that risk, and I accept it. I’ve made that decision eyes open, like the adult I am. I’m not here to cause trouble, I’m not here to distract the rest of the guys. I’m here for Rev. That’s it. I like him. I want to spend time with him. And the risk seems like it would be somewhat mitigated if he’s not leaving this building in order to see me, yes? So, I’m not leaving. And unless you have some other valid reason why I can’t spend time with Rev in his own quarters, I’ll thank you to leave us alone.”
A tense, silent moment.
Inez narrows her eyes. Searches Myka. Nods once. “Very well.” Turns on her heel and clicks away, vanishes to wherever she goes.
When she’s gone, Myka’s shoulders slump. “She’s a very scary individual.”
I clasp my arms around her chest and tug her against my front. “That was fuckin’ hot as hell, Myka.”
She turns in my arms. “It…was?”
“Yeah. Super fuckin’ hot. You gave motherfuckin’Inezthe what-for.”
“Is that, like, impressive?”
I laugh. “Yeah, it is. You said it—she’s scary. Even for us. She works directly for…our employer. Mafia dons and cartel bosses are scared of Inez.”
“Oh, bull crap.”
“For real. Seen it.”
“Shut up.” She laughs, like I’m teasing.
I laugh. “Serious, baby. That was badass. Epic.”
