I turned in his direction with a smirk. “It was a surprise.”
“What you mean a surprise?” he asked with confused expression.
“One of these niggas is the one who shot you. Now don’t say I ain’t never got you shit.” I walked over and grabbed one ofthe gas canisters. I didn’t like how those niggas were sleeping peacefully like they didn’t have a care in the world. That irked me.
“Whatever we’re doing, can we get this show on the road? It’s bears in this preserve,” Reese yelled.
“Nah it ain’t. Nigga, it’s a preserve,” Taurus responded.
I walked over and poured the gasoline all over the brothers. Duce was the first to wake up, coughing like he was being drowned. Taurus woke DJ up pouring the gas, then throwing the container and hitting his ass in the head with it.
Their mouths were gagged, and it was pretty dark, but leave it to this nigga Reese to have a flashlight on him.
“I was preparing a speech for this shit, but I don’t even feel like wasting my breath on you dead ass niggas, so see y’all in hell.” Taurus shrugged, and we finished dousing them in gas. By the time we were finished, Duce and his brother were begging through whatever was in their mouths and fucking soaked.
“I wanna see if we can start a wild fire in Chicago.” Taurus had a big dumb ass smile on his face as he tossed the lighter on them.
We watched until they were engulfed in flames before stepping back. The fire was much bigger than I had imagined. “And you say I need counseling.” I cut my eyes over at him as we prepared to walk back to the car. We made sure to burn the canisters along with anything else that could incriminate us.
“Nigga, you do. Who gets somebody some shit like this?”
“Yo, you’re ungrateful.” I laughed.
“Both of y’all niggas need counseling,” Reese cut in.
“Now I know yo’ ass ain’t talking.” I chuckled and looked over at Reese.
“Right, old homicidal ass.”
The way we walked back to the car joking, one would never think we just burned two motherfuckers alive.
“Alright. I’ll meet y’all your boy’s crib.” Reese climbed on his bike.
I nodded. We had one more stop before I could finally consider this shit over with. It didn’t take long for us pull up in front of the rundown tenement where Camen lived.
“I see why his address wasn’t listed in his file. This shit is grimy.” Taurus shook his head.
We walked up the pathway to the rundown tenement. As we were walking in, Reese was walking out.
“How the fuck did you get here so damn fast?” Taurus asked.
He smirked. “I told y’all to stop messing with those four wheels and get a bike. The only time I don’t ride my bike is when I’m picking up my daughter.”
“If I ever got a bike, Re would murder my ass on the spot.”
We laughed.
“Y’all will never guess what I walked in on when I got here, though.” Reese stopped us before we walked in.
“What?” I questioned.
“Remember old girl you called about?” Now he led us into the apartment. We walked further in and then turned into a room. The sight before my eyes made me shake my head. It smelled like death in the apartment the moment I walked in, and now I saw why.
“Damn, it’s funky as fuck in here.” Taurus covered his nose. “What it is the probability of two crackheads overdosing at the same time?”
“Bad batch?” I responded.
“For once, the street chemist did my job for me. Y’all niggas are still paying me though.”
