“Uhh, not fuck her!”
“It was more complicated than that! She started saying stuff about her lame boyfriend, and the next thing I knew, she was taking off her shirt and showing me her cougar tits. I mean, they’re cougar titties, but they’re nice, bro.”
Marcus laughs out loud, slapping the steering wheel.
“I’m serious, man,” I continue defending my terrible decision. “Then she put her hands down my pants and said, ‘Fuck me, Jarrod.’ That was all she wrote.”
“Dude, you got seduced by the boss. That’s crazy. I swear, your life story should be aired on Lifetime. What about Stacey, man? What about Brandi?”
“What about them? Stacey doesn’t want anything to do with me, so it doesn’t matter if I still have feelings for her. I can’t make her want me. As for Brandi, we’re just fucking, nothing more. She told me herself that she wasn’t looking for commitment, and I thought that was a beautiful thing.”
“Dude, tell me something. If Stacey wanted to be with you exclusively, would you do it?”
“You know I would,” I admit. “But that’s not what she wants, so it ain’t even worth thinking about. Don’t even mention Stacey to me, man. I need to just get over her.”
“Yeah, good luck with that, cougar fucker.” Marcus laughs at his own joke as he gets off of Glenn Highway and turns onto a small road leading into a trailer park.
As we approach our destination, our conversation comes to an end as we search for the address. There aren’t many trailers out here, so it doesn’t take us long to find the one we’re looking for. It’s a typical trailer on the outside, but it could be housing a deadly killer on the inside.
Marcus parks the car, we both double check our service weapons, and get out together. It’s time to meet Jeffrey Chapman.
