FOURTEEN

Mia

It had been a long time since Mia found herself unable to sleep. But between her encounter with Waylon and Luca’s confessions, she found herself tossing and turning until morning light.

She stared up at the ceiling, blinking into the black, her heart still beating too fast, long after Luca had softly closed the door behind him.

Their entire conversation played on over and over.

First, his personal confession.

He’d admitted that he had never been with anyone before, so simply, without hesitation or shame. Merely shared his truth.

She knew he was quiet. Shy. Reserved even. But the level of vulnerability that he laid out on the proverbial table last night was raw in a way that Mia herself never even dared to be.

He’d given her an intimate look into what laid beyond the surface. And trusted her enough to hold onto that .

It felt a lot like Luca wanted more from her.

More than her body.

More than any man had ever asked for before.

It felt like Luca was telling her that he wanted all of her. And that he’d be willing to wait as long as it took to get there.

And that?

Well, that terrified her more than anything in the world.

Like Luca, she was guarded for a reason. Not the same reason, but she guarded her heart for a good cause.

She didn’t trust that her partner wouldn’t get bored and move on the moment someone prettier and skinnier came along.

Sometimes, she even wished she hadn’t rushed into physical intimacy with some of the guys she dated in the past.

Luca had the right idea as far as she was concerned.

On top of Luca’s personal confession, it didn’t help that her brain had been torturing her after her earlier encounter with Waylon.

Luca unknowingly complicated matters further with his casual admission about her best friend—the boy who knew all of her secrets. The one person she thought she knew everything about. About Owen—steady, protective, reasonable—Owen, and Waylon with his cocky attitude and package to back it up.

She still couldn’t believe that they’d shared women before. Together. At the same time.

Was that why everything felt like it was shifting around her?

Was that the reason why Waylon’s flirting escalated while they were away? Why he’d been so bold when he caught her with her hand, and her vibrator, between her legs? If so, then why the hell did he walk away?

Was it really because of the respect he had for Casey?

And what if Waylon hadn’t walked away? Would Mia have let things escalate more?

And would it have ruined whatever she was building with Luca?

Ugh.

Her mind kept spinning.

Casey.

Her best friend.

How many times had he casually flirted with Mia over the years? Playfully. And not in the sarcastic way Waylon loved to. No. It was in the little things Casey said. Like when he told her she always swam, never sank. A few times she wondered if he was going to ask her out.

The fake dates to all those events, often felt very real.

And knowing he shared other women with the guys in the house?

Did Casey want more? Was this whole thing part of his plan all long? Is that why he invited her to move in with them? Why he said he was so afraid of messing things up with her and Owen?

Because he wanted her. Between the two of them?

And what the hell did Owen have to say about it?

Was there more to Owen’s caring demeanor?

If she closed her eyes, she could almost picture it.

All of it.

Four sets of hands caressing her. Loving her.

Four greedy cocks ready to fill her.

Her pulse quickened and her pussy began to throb.

Four gorgeous men, all to herself.

The object of all of their attention and sexual attraction .

The give and take. Push and pull.

Here, in the privacy of her dark bedroom, she could only imagine what it must be like.

Mia put her pillow over her face and let out a muffled scream.

She was not going there.

Last time she gave into her hormones, she’d been caught.

And had one of the best orgasms of her life, after.

The vibrator in her nightstand taunted her.

She shouldn’t.

She wouldn’t let herself fantasize about the four of them until she knew exactly where she stood with Luca.

But...

If that was what they all wanted…

Would she have to choose?

Would she lose Luca in the process?

If she let anything happen, there would be no going back.

Everything would change.

Hell, it already had because there was no more pretending. Mia knew their truths now.

And heaven help her, she couldn’t deny that she was curious about what it would be like.

She thought she knew where Luca stood. Did the other guys truly want all of her though? Not just physically. But all the pieces. The messy, complicated, sometimes dramatic and stubborn part of her. Did they all want her heart?

How the hell could she even begin to bring it up?

“Hey guys, so I heard you all like to fuck the same woman. How about me?”

No. That wouldn’t work. Because if Mia was going to go for it, it couldn’t be casual. Not with any of them. She wasn’t wired that way. They would all have to agree to be all in. That meant Luca too.

And if Luca wasn’t interested in sharing?

Then Mia knew she’d have to walk away from all of them. For good.

A twinge of fear hit her in the chest.

An ache worse than any other break-up.

This had to work out.

Because Mia was already in too deep, and there was no way she’d survive saying goodbye.
