Story: Psycho (Bonetti Brothers #4)
PSYCHO
I don’t want to leave her, I’d prefer to stay buried in her sweet pussy all day long, but I need information from my family. Somebody has to know something about all this shit. I plan to extract Carlo from prison and deal with him, but there’s still the matter of her father. I want to know who the fuck killed him. It’s important, for some reason I cannot identify, that she knows it was not a Bonetti. I know that already, but I need her to as well.
“I don’t want you to go,” she pouts, as she pulls up her t-shirt, tempting me with her pierced nipples.
Reaching out, I pinch her rose bud as she squeals.
“Behave. I need to do this.”
Leaning my head down, I capture her lips, and kiss her softly.
I turn to leave, but stop halfway to the door.
“Oh, and Hadley?”
Looking over my shoulder, I catch her gaze on my ass, and chuckle softly.
“Keep your goddamn hands off my pussy.”
The sound of her giggle follows me in the entryway of my home, and I rub at that familiar spot in my chest, because fuck me, I don’t hate it.
The first words Bones speaks to me have me annoyed.
“Is she dead yet?”
I don’t respond audibly, just answering with a shake of my head.
While I knew my mother would be here, since it was my request, I’m pleased to see her. Since my father died, she has spent a lot of time traveling the world, and we don’t see her nearly enough.
I waste no time scooping her into my arms, squeezing her tight, and placing a kiss on her cheek.
Taking a seat on the sofa, I nod a greeting to my brothers; Bones, Reaper, and Kage.
“Mama, do you remember Hadley?”
A soft smile crosses her lips as she nods.
“Of course. She’s unforgettable.”
I glance at Bones, who is eyeing me curiously, wondering why I am asking about a girl we have not seen in years.
“Hadley is the ADA. Anastasia and Hadley are the same person.”
My mother is the only person in the room that is not wearing a shocked expression.
She holds her hands up, as we all point our gazes at her.
“Her father died tragically, and she got herself caught up with that Bianchi brother. If your father hadn’t helped her, she’d be dead. Where did you see her?”
Bones groans, knowing full well I’m not going to lie to my mother. I’m not ashamed of the things I do. And she knows the man that I am.
“I kidnapped her.”
Her eyes widen, as she slaps her hand over her mouth with a gasp.
“Oh no, figlio. Please tell me you did not hurt her. She has been through so much pain.”
Reaper speaks, before I have a chance to respond.
“She was trying to take us down. Whatever he did to her is within his right.”
I rub at my temples, hearing those words from a goddamn serial killer. Reaper has little concern over the line between right and wrong. His date nights with his wife involve murder. I’m not opposed to it, but I know his words are of little comfort to my mother.
My mother shakes her head, and wipes away a tear.
“Not if she’s Hadley.”
I turn to Bones, ignoring the glare from my mother focused on the side of my head.
“Did you know?”
He laughs, but it’s not sincere.
“I did not. I also don’t understand what her issue is with our family. She was practically one of us.”
Rubbing my temples again, I tell him the absurd truth.
“She thinks Padre killed her dad.”
After I fill Bones in on everything I know, which doesn’t feel like enough, my mother grabs my arm.
“Figlio, I won’t ask again. Did you hurt my Hadley?”
I had honestly forgotten the relationship my mother had with her. The distant memory of her playing barbies with my mother. The last time I saw Hadley was three days before her father was murdered.
Tears spring to her eyes, her hands balled into fists, as she screams at me.
“Why did you do that? Why, Massimo, why?”
I shrug my shoulders, not giving an answer, because I don’t really have much of one.
“You’re too young to have a boyfriend,” I come up with, but she’s not buying it.
Placing her hands on my chest, she shoves me backward with a grunt.
“Why, Massimo, why?”
If my brothers called me by my first name, I’d punch them in the face. Everybody knows me as Psycho, and I fucking earned that name. Yet, when she does it, I have to fight back the smile that wants to come to my face.
Leaning down, I narrow my gaze at her, meeting her glare with one of my own.
“I didn’t like it. Okay? That’s fucking why. You are under my protection, and that’s what I was doing.”
She doesn’t back down. Her back straightens, and her head raises, as she roars at me.
“I don’t want your protection.”
After her father died, she didn’t come around anymore. Her mother never brought her to see us, even when my mother all but begged to see her.
I look at my mother and raise my hands in defense.
“I didn’t kill her, which was my plan. I did not know she was Hadley, but it doesn’t change what she did.”
My abnormally quiet brother speaks up, and we all turn to him.
“I wasn’t happy that Psycho took it upon himself to capture the fucking assistant district attorney, but now that he has, I don’t see any solution, other than ending her life. She is a threat, and if Psycho lets her go, all kinds of trouble will end up at our door. Sure, we’ll probably get out of it, but I’m not interested in dealing with unnecessary situations.”
“No,” I answer in a clipped tone.
Bones arches an eyebrow and repeats my word.
“No?”
I don’t respond, because I said no the first fucking time, and it does not need to be repeated. My answer is final.
“Fine. One of us will take care of it.”
He glances at my mother’s horrified expression.
“Mama, I’m sorry, but Bonettis come first. All threats must be eliminated.”
When I speak again, they all stare at me, with almost identical faces of shock.
“That would be a bad idea. She’s under my protection.”
The large room is so silent, you could hear a pin drop, until Kage roars with laughter. I flash him a pointed glare, and his laughter instantly subsides.
My mother takes my hand in hers.
“I want to see her, figlio. Right now.”
I stare at each of my brothers, and issue a warning.
“If you’re coming, that’s fine, but you’ll be in my house. Hadley is under my protection.”
I am the only man that gets to hurt her. She belongs to me, and I don’t want to fight with my brothers, but I will.
