CAMERONX: So true. He’s a big softy. So squishy and sweet, like a scoop of ice cream melting in your hand.

“That’s enough,” Cameron said, wrestling the keyboard away. “Why must you always embarrass me?”

“You love the attention,” Anthony said while laughing.

“Not always,” Cameron replied with burning cheeks.

SKYLAR99: Does he really?

CAMERONX: No! Well... Mind your own business. This is Cameron. For real this time.

SKYLAR99: Ha ha! Too late. The truth is out.

CAMERONX: I’m deleting this conversation from our chat history. Also, I have to go punish my boyfriend.

SKYLAR99: If you’re still reading this Anthony, I want details later!

CAMERONX: Oh my god! I’ll talk to you tomorrow.

SKYLAR99: Byeeeeee!

Cameron glowered at his boyfriend. “I am never allowing you to touch this computer ever again.”

“That was cool!” Anthony said, before glancing around the room. “Is all this yours?”

He shook his head. “It’s my dad’s. He only uses it for bookkeeping and printing out invoices for work. I spend more time in here than he does.”

“Huh.” Anthony leaned over and kissed him before pulling back with a confused expression. “So how does the guy obsessed with antiques know such much about computers?”

“Oh.” Cameron chuckled. “My friend Quincy got me into it. I was always impressed by how many games he had, since you can just copy them onto a disk. So when most kids were begging their parents for a Nintendo, I was hounding mine for a computer.”

“I’ve gotta talk my parents into getting me one. Writing articles would be way easier.” Anthony’s brow furrowed. “If I even bother anymore.”

Cameron felt a surge of sympathy for him. Just two days ago, they had stood under the willow tree while Anthony ranted about the injustice of it all. And he was right. How could anyone consider it inappropriate to thoughtfully express how you feel inside? “I hope you never stop writing. And if you do get a computer, there’s software that lets you create your own newspaper. Nobody would be able to censor you then.”

“Because I could just print it out myself?” Anthony asked.

“That’s what the big box is over there,” Cameron said, pointing to a dot matrix printer.

Anthony stared at it for a moment. “So if I bring my article over here and type it up, you can print it out?”

“Yup!”

“As many copies as I want?”

“Until we run out of ink or paper, yeah.”

Anthony’s posture slowly straightened and he considered the possibilities. “I know we have plans,” he said, “but maybe when we’re done… Would you mind? I could pay for whatever materials we use. Or um, ask my boyfriend to pay for it. He works for an antique dealer and is rolling in cash.”

Cameron laughed. “What do you have in mind? Once you’ve printed out a bunch of copies, I mean.”

“That’s simple.” Anthony grinned. “I’m going into the publishing business.”
