CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO
Daisy
The morning light filters through the blinds, warm and soft, and the first thing I register is Kieran’s arm wrapped tightly around me.
For the second morning in a row, I wake up cocooned by him, his solid chest against my back, his breathing steady in my ear.
And he’s hard. Again.
I shift slightly, and his grip tightens. When I roll over to face him, he’s already awake, watching me with a slow, lazy smile that makes my insides flutter.
His lips brush my forehead, then slide down to catch mine in a kiss—slow and warm, like he’s savoring me.
“Morning, little mama,” he says, his voice low and rough, dripping with that mix of sweetness and smugness that makes my stomach twist in all the right ways.
“Morning,” I mumble, still groggy, but melting into him. He makes it so damn easy.
His hand skims down my back, settling low on my waist as he pulls me closer. “You doing okay? After everything yesterday?”
I nod, brushing my lips against his jaw. “Still kinda shocked at how… well, everything went. But yeah, I’m good.”
He hums, pressing his hips forward just enough for me to feel him. “Told you we’d step up. You doubted me?”
I let out a breathy laugh, shaking my head. “No… well, maybe a little. But you proved me wrong.”
“Damn right, I did.” His hand moves, slipping beneath my tank top, and his fingers splay across my skin. He’s warm and solid, and I arch into his touch. “Mason, Blaze, and I… we’ve got you, baby. You know that, yeah?”
“Yeah,” I whisper, my fingers trailing up his arm.
Kieran’s eyes glint with something darker as his hand slides down, teasing the edge of my shorts. “Speaking of yesterday… those condoms in your nightstand? They’re gone. You got more stashed somewhere?”
My cheeks heat, but I don’t look away. “No,” I admit, my voice quieter now. “I’m clean. The hospital ran tests… and it’s not like I can get more pregnant.”
That makes him pause. “What are you saying?” he asks.
“I’m saying that we can go without them… if you don’t mind.” His gaze softens, and his thumb brushes a slow circle over my hip.
“I’m clean too. We get tested before the season starts and I haven’t fucked anyone but you since then.”
“I always use a condom. I have never not used a condom,” I say.
Okay. My heart is beating so fast as I wait for his response.
“You sure?” he asks, voice low, steady.
I nod, leaning up to kiss him. “Yeah, I’m sure.”
That’s all it takes. Kieran shifts, guiding my leg up and around his waist, his lips finding mine again. His kiss is deep, consuming, and his hands roam, tugging my clothes off before he settles between my thighs.
His touch is confident, possessive, and the way he looks at me—like I’m everything—has my heart racing.
“You’re so damn sexy,” he murmurs, his lips skimming my neck as he moves. “Gonna look so good all swollen with my baby.”
I snort, but it comes out shaky. “I’ll look like a whale.”
“Bullshit,” he says, thrusting slow and deep. His voice is hoarse now, the rhythm of his hips picking up. “You’re gorgeous. Always.”
His words hit harder than I expected, and I clutch at him as he moves. He groans my name, his grip tightening as he buries himself inside me, claiming me in a way that makes me dizzy.
It’s all heat and need, raw and overwhelming.
When it’s over, he collapses beside me, pulling me into his arms. His lips brush my forehead, then my temple, and he holds me close, his chest rising and falling against mine.
“I’ll get my bike,” he says after a while, his voice soft against my hair. “Left it at the arena, and it has definitely been there too long. You rest.”
“Okay,” I whisper, my eyes already heavy.
Slim jumps onto the bed as Kieran leaves, curling up next to me like a warm little heater. It doesn’t take long before I’m out again.
When I wake up, sunlight’s streaming through the window, and my phone buzzes on the nightstand. I blink a few times, grabbing it to find a message from Beau.
Paddleboarding? Morning’s too nice to waste.
A small smile tugs at my lips, and I type back quickly.
Yeah. Sounds good. When and where?
He replies just as fast with the location.
I scramble out of bed, pulling on a bikini and some denim shorts. The nausea I’d been dealing with before telling Kieran about the baby seems to have vanished, and I can’t help but think it was nerves all along.
I grab a towel, my sunglasses, and my keys before heading out to meet Beau.
The beach is quiet this early, the water calm and glittering under the sun. Beau’s already waiting near the rental shack, his board propped up beside him. He waves when he sees me, a lopsided grin on his face.
“Ready to get wet, Trouble?” he teases, his tone light but his eyes warm.
I roll my eyes, shoving his arm. “Keep it PG, Beau.”
He laughs, handing me a paddle. “All right, all right. Let’s go.”
We wade out into the water, the boards bobbing as we climb on. It takes me a minute to find my balance, but once I do, it’s peaceful—just the sound of the water and the occasional seagull.
Beau paddles beside me, his movements easy and practiced.
After a while, he breaks the silence. “You good? With… everything?”
I glance at him, then back at the water. “Surprisingly, yeah. You guys handled it better than I thought.”
His laugh is soft. “We’re not total assholes, you know.”
“Could’ve fooled me,” I tease.
Beau shakes his head, grinning. “You’re stuck with us now. You know that, right?”
“Yeah, I know.” I meet his gaze, and for a moment, everything feels okay.
His eyes are on me, the teasing fading into something softer. “You okay with that? With all of us crowding your life?”
I meet his gaze, shrugging. “Guess I’ll survive.”
We fall into a comfortable silence, paddling farther out where it’s quiet. The sun’s hot, and the water is cool against my legs as I sit back and trail them in. After a while, I glance over at him.
“How’d you even get into this? Paddleboarding doesn’t exactly scream Blaze.”
He smirks, resting his paddle across his knees. “Funny story. Went on a date once—some outdoorsy chick. She thought this was romantic or whatever.”
I snort. “Bet she regretted that.”
“Not as much as I did,” he says, laughing. “She fell off in the first five minutes, dragged me in with her, and broke her nose on the board.”
“No way!” I burst out, laughing so hard that my board wobbles. “That’s terrible.”
“Yeah, it was a disaster,” he admits. “But I stuck with it. Turns out, I’m pretty good at this shit.”
I shake my head, still smiling. “You’re full of surprises, Beau.”
He leans on his paddle, watching me with an intensity that makes my stomach tighten. “You’ve got the sexiest smile I’ve ever seen, you know that?”
My cheeks heat, but I roll my eyes. “Smooth.”
“I mean it,” he says, his voice quieter. His gaze drops, and I follow it to the faint mark on my thigh. He reaches out, his fingers brushing it gently. “This from Kieran?”
I nod, my breath catching as his touch lingers. “Yeah.”
“You’re so soft,” he murmurs, his hand trailing over my skin. His eyes lift to mine, darker now. “Daisy...”
I don’t answer, but I don’t pull away either. Something about the way he’s looking at me makes my chest tighten in a way I can’t name.
“It’s been so long since I kissed you,” he says, his voice rough.
My throat’s dry. I manage a nod. “Yeah.”
He reaches up, tracing my lower lip with his thumb. A full-body shiver races through me at the soft pressure.
He slides my sunglasses off, tossing them onto the board. “You’re trouble,” he whispers. “You know that?”
“Maybe,” I whisper back.
Then he kisses me. It’s not soft or hesitant—it’s all heat and want, his mouth slanting over mine like he’s been dying for this.
My hands are on him before I can think, sliding up his chest, wrapping around his neck. I pull him closer, needing more, loving the way he tastes—salt and heat and something that’s all Beau.
“Fuck, Daisy,” he growls against my lips. He pulls me into his lap like I weigh nothing, his hands gripping my hips. “This bikini… you’re gonna kill me.”
I laugh, breathless, but it turns into a gasp as his thumb presses between my legs. Even through the fabric, the pressure makes my head spin.
“Beau...” My voice is shaky, and he kisses me again, swallowing the sound.
The board shifts beneath us, tilting. “Shit—” is all I get out before we hit the water.
We surface, coughing and laughing, the water cold against my heated skin. He’s grinning at me, hair slicked back. “You okay?”
“My sunglasses!” I gasp, spinning in the water.
“I’ll buy you new ones,” he says, swimming closer. Before I can argue, his lips are on mine again, one hand sliding down my back, pulling me against him.
His back is to the beach, shielding us from view, but we’re far enough out that no one’s around anyway.
His hands roam over me, and my breath hitches as he tugs my bikini bottoms to the side. The water laps at my clit.
I am needy. I am all desire.
“Look at me, beautiful,” he says softly, his thumb brushing over my cheek. His fingers rub gently at my entrance, driving me wild. Then, without warning, two of his fingers slide inside, and I gasp, clutching his shoulders.
“Beau—” I try to speak, but the words get lost in a whimper. The stretch is unbelievable.
He pulls out and thrusts in even deeper, his thumb pressing on my clit. My thighs feel like jello.
How was I fucked into waking up this morning, yet I’m still this horny? My men are going to turn me into a nymphomaniac for sure.
“You’re thinking too much,” he says before nipping at my jaw.
“Sorry,” I say. His mouth moves to suck on my neck. I forget to breathe.
He smirks, his lips brushing my ear. “You’re so fucking gorgeous like this.”
My hands move without thinking, slipping beneath the waistband of his shorts. His sharp inhale is all the encouragement I need.
His head tilts back, lips parted as I wrap my hand around his cock, stroking slow, teasing.
“Fuck, Daisy,” he groans, his hips jerking. “You’re… God, you’re perfect.”
It should be hard for him to slip inside me due to the cold water, but it isn’t. I wrap my legs around his waist and hook an arm over my paddleboard for balance.
Holding onto it feels like the only way to survive the storm of desire flooding through me. I’m almost panting with want, clinging to Beau desperately.
I have a wild thought that someone could see us, report us to the team or the tabloids, or something, but then I dismiss it. The water will hide anything truly incriminating, and I just don’t care anymore.
It feels good to embrace this side of myself that I didn’t know existed. It feels good to give in to the desire to share my affection with all three of them.
It feels equally good to cry out over and over as Beau drives into me, pressing me higher up onto the paddleboard, which tips a little as my body starts to shake with the rush of my impending orgasm.
We’re a mess, kissing and grinding, the water lapping around us. His forehead rests against mine as we both come apart, chasing the heat and the need between us, until there’s nothing left but the sound of our ragged breathing.
He kisses me one last time, soft and lingering. “You’re gonna ruin me for anyone else,” he mutters.
I smile, resting my head against his shoulder. “Guess we’re even then.”
I pause for a moment, then I lean back to pretend to glare at him.
“Wait a minute… anyone else? Are you planning to dump me for a puck bunny or something?”
He starts laughing, and I can feel the laughter inside of me where we’re still connected. I grip him more tightly with my thighs, wanting to cling to this moment of intimacy, this little bubble of happiness.
He gives a kiss and then shakes his head. “You know that’s never happening. How could anyone else on earth ever replace you, Daisy?”
He glances down at my body. He can’t see my belly past my breasts that are crushed against his chest as he treads water, but I know he’s thinking about the tiny life inside of me.
“Besides, you’re changing everything for the better for me. It feels amazing to know that I get to help you with the baby. I hope you believe that.”
I nod, realizing that I actually do. What happened to hockey players supposedly being jerks who didn’t care about their girlfriends and wives? Clearly, the rumors weren’t about men like these.
“Come on,” Beau says, slipping out of me finally and helping me to rearrange my swimsuit again. “Let’s go back. I’m hungry.”
