“Get on your knees, Annika.”

She licked her lips before following my command. Victory coated her features as she coasted forward to unzip my pants as if she had a right.

“From now on, you’ll never speak to Ada again,” she said. “You will never acknowledge her or dare to breathe the same air as her. She’s dead to you.”

Annika then removed my flaccid cock, lowered her head and sucked me into her mouth. It wasn’t pleasure, it was power—and I had just ripped all of hers away. She ate that shit up like I wasn’t completely soft, her exaggerated moans causing my teeth to grind together.

I rammed her down to the hilt, causing her to gag.At least she stopped that monstrous noise.

“Lick my dick clean, you desperate whore.”

And she did, taking due diligence to lap up every drop of residue left behind. With one final swish of her tongue, I ripped at Annika’s hair, shoving her to the ground.

“How the hell did you think you’d ever make a good wife? You can’t even suck dick right.” Itskedcondescendingly before tucking myself back into my pants.

“Greyson?”

I snapped forward, pinching her cheeks so hard she winced. “Don’t fucking say my name. For one throwing around threats, you’re not that bright, are you?” I aggressively rubbed a thumb over her lips. “Because you’re so obsessed with Ada, I thought you’d like to taste her magic cunt…”

“Ada—”

I dug my fingers in, my nails piercing her skin, the sudden sting cutting off her words.

“She came on my cock so fucking hard I was saturated in her juices. And from the ravenous moans you couldn’t hold back, it seems like you enjoyed her taste just as much as me.”

I grinned then, flashing my teeth. All threat. All bite.

Annika flinched out of my hold before she started dry retching. The sight was magnificent.

“It’s a privilege you got to taste her at all,” I said conversationally, swirling the contents of my drink, which I’d managed to save throughout the ordeal. “An honour that no one else willeverget to experience. You should consider yourself lucky.”

I shot back the whisky, then smashed the glass against the leg of my armchair, fragments scattering all over Annika, still sprawled over the floor in front of me. I raised the most jagged piece, inspecting the sharp tip, then I twisted her own words back at her.

“You’ll never speak to Ada. You will never acknowledge her or dare to breathe the same air as her. You’re dead to her.”

Annika’s eyes sparked then, a flame of defiance stirring beneath that I knew I couldn’t let slide. I had to smother that flare so she would never cross me again.

“You’re going back to your father and telling him you no longer want this marriage. Make up whatever excuse you want. I don’t care, but stress that we willneverbe together. I am not a commodity to command, you spoilt fucking brat.”

My fingers latched onto her shaking ones, securing her left hand to the arm of my chair, that obnoxious diamond sparkling in mockery.

“Consider this your one and only warning, Annika Sullivan. If youeverthreaten AdaCarmichaelagain,I’ll kill you.”

Then I smashed that broken piece of glass straight down on the base of her ring finger. I nearly severed the digit clean through on the first go.

Blood sprayed everywhere, screams rebounded off the walls and the blatant joy I was missing gushed through me once more.

Sawing into her flesh, I completely removed her finger, the ring still attached. Annika crumpled in on herself, rolling over the ground, cradling her injured hand to her chest.

I removed the engagement band and chucked it at her. “Keep the ring,” I said before pocketing her separated limb that was still warm with colour. “And I’ll keep this as a reminder and warning.”

I doubt Annika could hear me through her own hysteria, but I had to trust that my actions were loud enough.

I swiped Ada’s birthday present from the desk and exited the office, running straight into my father.

He was livid, evil eyes tracking over my soiled front. “You’re going to pay for this, boy.”

“You can try, Father. But you’re forgetting something. I’m no longer a boy.”
