“Fuck. Oh, fuck.” Her eyelashes skimmed across her cheeks and I almost punished her for her slight disobedience, but I just couldn’t do it.
I held back a chuckle and twisted the toy as I slipped another inch inside. Then another. Her muscles were quick to clamp around the toy and the vibrating whir added a moment of sexual tension.
She dug her heels into the bed, fighting to remain in position. The moment I plunged the remainder inside, she arched her back to a deep concave.
I was at the point of being driven crazy, my balls aching and my stiff cock getting in the way of what I was trying to do.
Every movement she made grabbed my attention. I twirled the toy, allowing the thick nubs to work their magic. Within afew seconds, I could tell by her ragged pants and the tossing of her head that she was close to being swept into ecstasy.
As I pumped in and out, she lost it, slapping her hand over her mouth as soon as a scream erupted from her voluptuous lips. I refused to stop, thrusting as brutally as I’d done with my cock, enjoying the show more than I should. But what the heck? The night was still young.
When she finally started to come down from the rafters, I pulled the toy out, keeping it whirling for a few seconds as I inhaled her sweet scent. She moaned several times, drawing my attention.
“You are incredibly alluring when you climax. Did you know that?” I rolled the tip of the toy down her leg, tickling her.
She laughed, bending her knees and rolling over onto her side. “Did anyone ever tell you that you’re a terrible man?”
“Plenty of people. You have no idea.”
“Well, you are.” Yawning, she nuzzled against the pillow and as she did, several strands of hair fell across her face. “Just terrible. Arrogant. Powerful. Maybe too much so. You walk into a room and you think everyone should just… part ways like… like you’re the king.”
As her words faded off, I finally turned off the vibrator. Within seconds, I could tell she’d fallen asleep. Leaning over, I gently brushed the strands of hair from her eyes. Immediately, my chest tightened.
We’d played roughly enough that our actions had rubbed makeup off her face. With the light over the bed aimed perfectly on the side of her face, I was forced to take a deep breath.
My fucking God. I’d never felt this level or type of anger in my life.
I’d been around a hell of a lot of violence in my world. Some I’d inflicted where I’d seen others take the brunt. That meant I knew exactly what a bruise from a horrific punch to the facelooked like. I also knew the various stages of coloration on the skin.
An area just under her eye had a yellowish color, which likely meant whoever had hit her had done so ten days or so before. If Jeffrey had done this, I would kill the motherfucker with my bare hands. There was no excuse acceptable. Not one.
I took a deep breath, caressing her face. The punch had been savage and if I had to guess, done by a man. She was lucky it hadn’t done damage to her eye.
When she shifted, I curled my fingers, rising off the bed.
She was a stranger, not someone I should even consider seeing again after returning to Vegas. There were various reasons including that I wasn’t good for anyone. Yet I could not just let this pass. And I’d know if she was lying.
One thing was certain. I needed to learn more about her. Who she was. Who she had associations with.
As I’d already told her before, everyone had secrets and given the look of fear I’d seen in her eyes, I’d say hers would come back to haunt her.
At that moment, I knew how I’d react.
Over my goddamn dead body.
CHAPTER 15
Fallon
I stretched, yawning as softness enveloped my body. When I finally opened my eyes, I tried to focus but was still so sleepy. It had been a long time since I’d had a good night’s sleep. Suddenly, I realized someone was watching me.
Rolling over, I instantly smiled. “Well, good morning, Bella. How did you sleep?”
Where she’d been so lethargic the night before, the pup’s eyes were bright and her tail was thumping against the bed. It suddenly hit me that it was daylight outside.
Shit.
“Oh, no, baby girl. You need to be walked.” As soon as I sat up, something slid off the bed to the floor. Leaning over, I was surprised to see it was a note written by hand.
