Story: Poison
After we were both clean and dressed, I leaned against the door, just looking at him. "I need to talk to you before I leave."
A worried look crossed his features. "Everything okay?"
How was I going to explain this without him feeling like I was purposefully cheating on him? I had no choice. If I wanted to keep him, I needed to be completely honest. "I'm going to start getting extra flirty with that guy in the booth… I might have to give him a few freebies and eventually take him upstairs."
I couldn't read the look on Vic's face. There was more confusion than hurt, but I didn't see a sign of anger. I smiled slightly. He really wasn't anything like Trevor Hobbs. "I have a plan to get Hobbs to confess to killing Alex."
"What's the plan?"
"I can't tell you. Not until I'm sure it will work."
He ran his hand through his long brown hair. "Why can't you tell me?" He gripped my arms gently. "We're in this together, Isaac."
"Because it's illegal. I would rather you not know until I need you. If things fall apart, I can't handle the idea of you ending up in shackles. I'm already there."
"If it's that serious, then don't do it. We already have a plan to get you out. I don't want you to risk getting dragged back in."
"I have to!" I snapped. "Alex is dead because of me! I have no idea how Hobbs found out that Alex was helping me. Maybe he didn't. Maybe he heard rumors. Who knows. Hobbs didn't flat-out say he had Alex killed, but I know he did. He showed me the news as a warning that he was willing to kill to keep me. I owe it to Alex to get him justice."
"You don't owe Alex anything."
"I do! Please, stop treating me like I'm a damsel in distress. I need to do this, Vic. If I don't, we'll never truly be free of Trevor."
Vic stared at the floor and stayed like that for a moment until his eyes finally met mine again. "Fine, I'll trust you."
Smiling, I kissed him. "I'd better get back downstairs. Do me a favor; in about ten minutes, start making noise with Cherry like you both are having hot and wild sex. If Hobbs can hear it, it'll throw him off our trail."
"I suppose," Vic chuckled.
I said a quick goodbye to Cherry before heading down the stairs. Trevor was sitting at the small table the bouncer usually sat at, sipping a bronze liquid. Probably a bourbon. "You still had ten minutes."
"Yeah. Vic didn't want to play cards any longer. He kept losing, so he wanted to play with something else." As if on cue, Cherry began moaning loudly. I guess the place really does have thin walls.
Trevor raised an eyebrow. "I see."
Grinning, I ran a hand over his broad shoulder. "You want to take me home and play?"
Swallowing the last of his drink, Trevor stood up. "Take you home, yes. But I have a headache and only want to sleep. I hope that's alright with you." Placing a finger under my chin, he pressed his lips lightly on mine. Yep, he was drinking bourbon.
Grabbing his hand, I kissed him back. "Whatever you want, baby."
"There you are, sexy," I chirped as I slid onto Beau's lap. Since that first night, he showed up every evening around nine o'clock. I must've been doing something right. Snuggling up to his chest, I ran my hand through his short copper hair. "I'm surprised you're able to get out so much without upsetting your hubby."
For an instant, I could see pain creep across Beau's face. I shouldn't ask about Lucien, but I was constantly afraid that the little shit would show up and crash the party. If he did, it could ruin all my plans.
Beau sighed, picked up his drink, and took a sip. He was a straight vodka kind of man. "I think Lucien prefers it when I leave."
Running my hand along his face, I murmured, "I don't understand why. You're a very interesting person." That wasn't a lie. Beau told me many good stories when he came to visit. Most of the time, I wasn't even sure he was here for sex. In fact, I got the impression he just wanted to feel connected to someone. That was making my part of the job harder. What I had planned would ultimately hurt him, and based on what I knew, he didn't deserve it.
Nevertheless, I had to remind myself that men like him used their power and wealth to draw in a younger mate. If that partner turned out to be a gold digger, that would be on them. Still, Beau seemed like a genuine good guy. When my plan was complete, I hoped he would leave Lucien and find someone who could give him the companionship he sought. Sadly, that person wouldn't be me.
"I got a surprise for you, baby," I whispered, reaching into my boot and pulling out a card. "It's on the house."
"What's this?"
"A card for a private dance booth. You and I can have some alone time."
"Mr. Hobbs must be really trying to butter me up."
"No, baby. Hobbs has nothing to do with this. I bought the card. I want some alone time."
I rubbed my nose along his, making his breath quicken, and he grabbed my ass cheeks firmly with both hands. "I'm married."
"And your husband isn't here," I point out, pressing my lips to his. "You deserve to be the center of attention. Nobody will find out."
"It's just a dance, right?"
"Just a dance," I confirmed, even though I planned it to be much more. Sliding from Beau's lap, I ushered him to the small back rooms where private dances were held. The bouncer nodded when I held up the card and let us pass. There were ten booths, each with a green light on top that flashed red when in use. Three of them were available, so I slid the card in the slot, popped the door open, and tugged Beau inside with me. "Have a seat, handsome."
Beau hesitated for a moment, then sat down in a fluffy white chair. The space was cast in a soft blue glow, and soft music played through the speakers.
"You can touch me in here." Technically, patrons weren't allowed to feel up the performers while on the floor, but I let Beau put his hands on my ass because I had an ulterior motive. When a customer paid for a private dance, though, they were allowed to put their hands wherever the dancer allowed.
Smoothly, I sat on his lap, rubbing my body against his and grinding my ass onto his crotch. In response, he swiftly stiffened beneath his pants. Holding his hands, I ran them along my abs as I dragged my nose along the crook of his neck.
"I haven't had a man touch me like this in such a long time," he whispered.
"Lucien doesn't treat you like this?"
Beau shook his head. "Lucien hasn't touched me in over a year."
"Well, that's shitty of him," I stated, running my lips against his jaw.
"It's because I'm a fat old fuck."
I snapped my head back, narrowing my eyes in annoyance. Lucien really was a piece of shit. Beau wasn't as unattractive as he thought he was. Sure, he had a few extra pounds, but he wasn't gross. He was older but handsome. If he treated Lucien like he treated me, there should be no reason for him to not want to touch his husband. I would take Beau over Trevor Hobbs any day of the weak, and Trevor was a very well-built, good-looking man.
Standing, I murmured, "Well, I'm going to touch you, baby. I'm going to make you feel really good. Stand up."
Beau sluggishly got to his feet, and I grinned as I started tugging at the buckle of his belt. He placed a hand on my shoulder. "What are you doing?"
"Don't worry, baby, you'll like this." He didn't protest further. I had him in the palm of my hand. Beau didn't have the willpower to say no to me, especially since he longed for physical touch from his husband. His cock was completely erect by the time I pulled it from his pants. I gripped it, slowly running my tongue firmly along the sensitive flesh underneath and keeping eye contact with him.
"You're so big, baby," I declared right before taking him into my mouth. I wasn't lying. He was indeed girthy and had a decently long shaft. His member slowly slid down my throat as I took him all the way to the base.
He moaned when I bobbed back up. But I didn't remove my lips, immediately sliding my mouth down once more. For some reason, I wanted Beau to enjoy this. Maybe it was because I hated Lucien, or perhaps it was because I felt bad for what I was going to do. Beau's body began to tense, and I knew he was getting close, so I picked up my pace. The taste of precum covered my tongue. When I pulled back a little too late, his cum erupted from the head. Some of it got on my mouth, but the rest splattered against the wall. The man was working with a super cannon.
I licked my lips, pushing him onto the chair and sliding onto his lap again. "Did you like that, baby?"
"That was amazing," Beau admitted, breathing heavily.
"We still have a little bit of time." I glanced up at the little light on the door. It would turn red when the card ran out of sinders.
"How long do you have on your debt?" he asked, running a palm gently along my jaw.
Grabbing his hand, I kissed it before sucking on his thumb and moving it down to my ass.
"A year or two," I lied.
"Are you going to keep living with Mr. Hobbs?"
I rolled my eyes, letting my elbow lazily rest against the chair as I played with his hair. "I doubt it. I'll most likely move back to the Sin District and see if I can catch a living there. Trevor and I used to be in love, but for the past few years, he's been treating me more like property rather than his lover."
"I know what you did to my husband. Lucien made sure I heard all about it the moment we got home from the party."
I snorted. "Yeah, well, I was young and dumb. I overreacted. I was hurt. Lucien knew Trevor and I were a couple, and he had the audacity to suck my boyfriend off on our couch."
Beau pulled back, and his brows were scrunched in confusion. "He never told me that. He said that you got upset because Trevor was openly hitting on him."
I couldn't help but laugh. "Of course he did. Why would he want to take any blame at all? Why not make me look like an unhinged psychopath? I walked in on him sucking my boyfriend's cock and kicked him in the face." I held up my arms so he could see the pink bracelets. "And I'm paying my debt to society."
Beau twined his fingers with mine. "I could pay off your debt. I could give Trevor twice the amount you still owe."
I grinned. "No, thank you, sweetie. I don't want to move from one master to another. When I get out of here, I want to open up my own club. I want to stand on my own two feet."
He smiled. "A working man. I like that. Lucien hasn't had a job since he and I got together... I would leave him if you gave me a chance. You could still work, but that wouldn't stop me from spoiling you." He kissed the back of my hand before letting it go.
"I love being spoiled," I admitted just as the light on the wall turned red. My eyes flicked to Beau's as I slid from his lap. "Time's up, baby. Make sure you keep coming to see me. I can't promise a free happy ending every time, but we can still have fun."
Beau got to his feet, fixed his pants, and reached into his pocket for his wallet.
When he pulled out a wad of sinders and placed them into my hand, I objected. "I told you this was on the house, Beau. You don't have to pay me."
"And I told you that I want to spoil you." He kissed me, then turned and walked out the door.
My heart sank. I couldn't feel shittier about myself if I tried. I was leading the man on hard, knowing I was going to break his heart into a thousand pieces. Beau deserved so much better than what I was going to put him through.
"You have to do this, Isaac," I muttered. "For Alex, for Vic, and for yourself."
