“Nope.” I grasp her hand and drag her toward the kitchen. “I’m going to thank you instead.”
“You are?” The question comes out all breathy.
I can’t wait to take her breath away. It’s too early to tell her I love her but I can show her. Which is exactly what I plan to do.
Chapter 30
"There’s a first time for everything. Even for me." ~ Jeremy

Ipause in the kitchen. “Do you have anything in the ovens that needs to come out within the next hour?”
Parker’s nose wrinkles in confusion. “The ovens?”
I caress her cheek. “The ovens in the kitchen, Princess. Is the fire department going to show up because another smoke alarm went off?”
“I’ve got it,” Holly says. “But I wouldn’t mind the fire department making another appearance.”
Parker grunts. “Everyone acts as if the fire department shows up on a regular basis.”
“Because they do,” Holly says.
“Don’t exaggerate or I won’t teach you how to make my Siren’s Snaps cookies.”
“My boyfriend loves those cookies. Consider my lips sealed.” Holly mimics zipping her lips shut.
“Just to be clear. There are no imminent smoke alarms?” I ask. Holly and Parker nod. “Good. We’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Have fun!” Holly waves to us.
I don’t need any further encouragement. It’s time to show the woman I love how much I love her. Without saying the words, since it’s way too early for love declarations.
I lead Parker out of the kitchen and up the stairs to the loft. As soon as we’re inside, I make sure to lock the door. No one’s disturbing us.
I press her against the door. “I’m going to strip you bare and taste every inch of you.”
Her eyes widen and she leans toward me before shaking her head. “Are you ok?”
I thrust my hard cock against her stomach. “Does it feel as if I’m not okay?”
She clutches my biceps. “N-n-no. But the scene downstairs was messy and a bit heartbreaking.”
I frame her face with my hands. “I stopped being hurt by what my parents and sister do a long time ago. They don’t deserve my love or loyalty.”
The same way her parents don’t deserve her love or loyalty. I don’t push her on the matter. My princess is stubborn. I’ll show her what real love is and hopefully she’ll figure out for herself how horrible her parents are.
“They don’t deserve you at all,” she growls.
“Thank you.”
Her brow wrinkles. “Why are you thanking me?”
“For being loyal to me.”
She rolls her eyes. “Of course, I’m loyal to you. You’re the man I l—” She clears her throat. “You’re the man I’m in a relationship with.”
My heart stutters in my chest. Was she going to say the man she loves? Does she love me the way I love her? I hope so. Because I am not letting this woman go.
