Page 68 of One Little Kiss
My mind briefly fills with all the things I should worry about, but one nip of his teeth on my neck and I bend to his will.
“I, I don’t want you to stop,” I gasp.
Colton pulls back just enough to stare into my eyes. Whatever he’s searching for, I hope he finds it, because if he stops, I think I might truly combust.
After what feels like an eternity, he pulls my face to him. We’re nose to nose. “You’re mine, Winnie Darling. Now,” he kisses my cheek, “and forever.” He bites down on the sensitive skin at the juncture where my neck and shoulder meet, and I whimper my consent.
“Yes.”
His fist tightens in my hair, shooting sparks of arousal throughout my entire body. “Say it again,” he grunts.
“Yes. I-I’m yours.”
In one fluid motion, he lifts us both off the floor. Adrenaline must be coursing through his veins, because that was no easy feat. Once we’re standing, he takes both of my hands in his. His penetrating gaze sends a shiver down my spine.
“Are you sure about this, Winnie? If we do this now, I don’t think I can ever let you go.”
I gulp, and it sounds far louder than normal in the eerie silence of night. But when I study Colton’s face, all I can find is love. Love for me, love for Wes. Love for a life he envisions with us. I decide right here that I will give him everything I can. Including myself, and eventually my trust.
“I’m sure, Colton.”
He scans my face one last time, then drags me behind him to his room. Once inside, he closes the door and smiles. I feel like prey, and as he stalks forward, I can only move back in tandem until my legs hit the edge of the bed.
I had a few one-night stands in college, and then there was Travis. Ugh. I hate that my mind doesn’t stop for even a second, but the way Colton is watching my every reaction has me on edge. I’ve never felt the connection I have with Colton with any other guy, and that’s kind of depressing, considering I lived with Travis.
“Winnie.”
His harsh command has my brain pausing mid freak out.
“Are you having second thoughts?”
“No. No, why?” I shake my head, trying to unscramble the four thousand thoughts vying for my attention.
“In here, Winnie, it’s only you and me.” He reaches down and turns up the volume on the baby monitor. “I don’t want you thinking about anything else. Your fears,” his hand slips to the buttons on my shirt, “are mine to worry about now.” He undoes the top button, and then another, and I swear his eyes glow with lust. “All I want you to do is feel. Not think, not worry, not obsess about getting everything on your list done. We will, together, but in here, you’re mine. And I’m yours. Can you do that for me, baby?”
Shit. Shit. Shit. I honestly don’t know if I can.
His hands slide up my stomach, over the soft skin of my ribs, to the sides of my breasts. My breath catches as he slips my shirt off my shoulders and down my arms.
“I asked you a question, Winnie.”
There goes that audible gulp again. I’m like a frog. That’s super sexy.
“Winnie,” he snaps, and my brain freezes. “We’re going to have to work on your ability to stay in the here and now, I see.” He’s grinning as he trails hot kisses over the cups of my bra. The heat from his mouth has my nipples pebbling against the cotton. “But we’ll get there, and you’ll be using every ounce of energy not to scream my name and wake up our little guy down the hall.”
God, how I want that. I’ve read about it. A lot. But that’s not how sex is for me. As Colton reaches for the waistband of my skirt, panic begins to set in. The way Colton reads my body, my reactions, I know he’ll never allow a faked orgasm. I’m biting my lower lip and tension fills my muscles.
“Tell me what you like, Winnie. How do you make yourself come?”
I’ve never had anyone be so blunt before and it throws me. I’m unsure how to answer. Do I tell him the truth? Do I make something up? I know what they say in my romance novels, but is that something a man like Colton expects?
“Colton,” I whisper.
He freezes and glances up at me.
“I-I need to tell you something.”
His eyes go wide, and he straightens immediately. “Are you a virgin, Winnie?”
